Default Ashraful

Is Asraful still in some sort of Obsession from after 158* ??

Take a look at his scores in 6 consecutive innings after that one:

3 (T2In2vs.Ind)
2(ODI1vs.Ind)
28(ODI2vs.Ind)
32(ODI3vs.Ind)
19(T1In1vs.ZIM)
22(T1In2vs.ZIM)

Ave. score per innings: 17.67
And now he makes this unnecessary under-estimating comment about opposition's bowling attack!
No wonder he thinks like that too.. and gets himself out from this overconfidence!

He needs to come back to earth right now if he doesnt want to wait for his next 100 till another 2 year!

Out of those, i would excuse him for the 32 (ODI 3 v Ind) and 22 (T1 Inn 2) - he was run out because Rajin wanted to complete his 50, and during the second innings everyone was trying to score some quick runs ..

Overconfidence!

IS ALWAYS BAD. Ash should follow Bash. And this Bash is again not less than overconfident in pulling shots. I wonder if Zim bowler had not have the tip to let Bash pull and get OUT cheap!
Mostly Ash was out when opponents could gather VERY or NEAR difficult catches. Drop they simpler ones, but if thatw as from Ash bat- they keep the ball afloat. For big score a little bit of Good Luck is also important. So may be he needs some TUK-TAK, Zhar-Fuk!

Zimbo pacers don't have enough variation or pace to get him out by luring into pull/hook shot. They will only go for runs if they try that.

this is also a bit amazing how cheaply u r reding into the core topic of the thread..

coz u assumed that this thread is against Ashraful in first place (not just you.. a few more comments here imply, wrongly, tht this is Ash's talent/performance-criticism thread)..

In short.. Ashraful is undoubtably a raw genuin talent, far better than almost all that BD has had in history, even in current times.. Yet for some reason, he has not succeeded to gain consistancy in performance yet.

Probably one good reason for that is his way of taking the opposition too lightly.. "After scoring a delightful 100 in my debut test.. I though it (Test Cricket) would be a easy way to walk for me.. but that din't happen.." ...These are ashraful's own words.. and yes it was sometimes pathetic to watch the ways he has played the opposition bowler and has got himself out..

Those were early days.. and he has started to show maturity and more patience these days.. but he also has to learn to keep his head cool after any successful show in a match... even the best and topmost Batsmen like Rahul Dravid (I luv this guy for his Temperemant and Patience) needs to do the same..

Every innings is a very new innings and it starts from ZERO again.... and arrogance only delays the path of success by big margin..

Lets hope Ash starts to realize he is on the 'More Depended (by the country)' part among our talents!

1 Century = How many free pass?

Our Noyon Moni, Shoner Pakhi again failed to "pretty ordinary ZIM bowling"

And in the mean time, we the misarable fans continue to suffer keeping our mouth shut !!!!

he didn't get out playing a rash shot. and besides...from the replay, it seemed the ball might've gone over the stumps. a close call. dont think we should get all up on ash's case over this dismissal.

I don't understand why Rajin is blaming for run out of Ash... The video clip clearly showed and commentator himshelf blame Ash for his childish run out,, In my opinion Ash is the one who didn't look for the signal from Rajin and didn't consider the ball in fielder'r hand..

Go BANGLADESH GO!!!!!!

Ashraful have already scored his runs for the next 2 yrs.....

he is now 10 feet above ground ... It would take him at least 1 more year to get back where he was.

He is wasting his talent and potential.
What about his family? Some one should sit down and talk with him.
He should learn to know himself, his weakness and strength.
Learn how to cover up and utilize his strength.
He could be far better what he is now. We need him grow up fast.

Ash forgot things every easily and doesn't learn from past. So need to make some change in his DNA during clonning process.

Then every 4 years all will click and we will get one win. The rest of the time we all out by 120.

We Managed to win after 4 years right? Thatb will work out fine.. I guess.

Default Ashra fool, Bashra fool or Rajin fool... all Shonar Fool

What else are they and we pay these Fools for their bad sense of cricket.
Well, the LBW decision against Ashraful was not a perfect one. He should know that he is safe ONLY from dropped catches. If the umpire could they might use their dirty index finger to show Ash his way back home.
But what Bashar did! He was not at all concentrating. Taibu is younger than him and knows what his responsibility is. Poor us..we still have Bash as a captain.
What rajin Did? No lesson from the ground anchoring role of Taibu. If ONLY we had a half Taibu- would BD safe.

Ashraful is the best batsman of our country - ever. I'm ashamed how we are being rude to him just because he has not scored in last few innings. Of course he has many problems just like most other players of our team and he needs to improve on those. A positive criticism is fine (and often needed) -- but these mindless teasing and negative remarks are absolutely shameful. Shame on you.
