Coach- Power Plays are designed to give advantage to the batting side. I have no issues with our initial PP overs. Our RR's are good courtesy Tamim-Imrul-Zunaid trio. So, on most instances we are able to take advantage of that advantage afforded to us. It is painfully clear that we don't have the players in the lower order when we have our five overs of PP's. In hockey terms, we go to the PP shorthanded, asking third-fourth line players aka Riyad-Naeem to score PP goals, err..score runs at a clip like Tamim and co. So, my solution is to play extra opener and top order player like Nafis and Ash at no.6 and 7. Also, take the PP with the second new ball, and hope that Sakib is there batting with Nafis and Ash to follow. They can at least play the new ball and have experience batting at the top order with field restrictions. Is it an ideal scenario? No. But, that's the only option left for us in this squad.
