Oh no! During watching all those matches, I never had in mind that I'll come up with this question

I just wanted to watch the game and never concentrate on what the commentators say. Now, as I look for an answer to your question, trying to recall the commentators' speeches, I don't find even a single word in my collection. Means, I have been completely successful in not focusing on their garbage talking. Three cheers for myself!!!!!!!

Good point here. Some of the comms were absolutely rubbish to be honest.
Makes me wonder how they even get the chance of being there. Just because they are from india or pakistan does not give them the right to comment on the biggest version of the odi games. Pure crap.

Leading the pack would be that shiv lal....xyz guy..man who is he anyway??
being able to speak in english does not make a good comm.

2nd in line would be aamir sohail. the paikka idiot.
i think we all know about him.

Where was Richie Benaud??
Esp for those of us who lives in Australia, we are so used to with Richie Benaud, Bill Lawry ( superb in my opinion), Mark Richards that when there are times comes this horrible horrible comms, really pisses me off.

These days commentating is not just describing whats going on the field. "Bowler balling, batsmen running...blah blah blah.." we all can do that...

They need to give insight into the match, the game and how things are working in, within and around cricket and the game itself.

Lal shivxyz and aamir sohails fails terribly in that.

Sanjay Manjrekar> Never credits us, always look for other factors than our ability, same tone, too critical/unappreciative/demeaning towards us all the time, and he thinks he knows everything. To summarise, just hate that guy :@

Amir Sohail and Rameez Raja! Rameez really gets up my nerve- thinking he knows all and was such a great player! He has such a condescending attitude towards BD or other "minnow" players. Probably, he hasn't realize that BD cricket isn't the same as they used to be 10/15 years ago! But, he was spot on though about Bashars captaincy.

Aamir Sohail- poor guy, although, he is quite fair! Puts me to sleep most of the time!

Oh, Beefy, also annoys me a lot...too full of himself!

I liked Athar's commentary. From BD perspective is the sole defender there.

All the new commentators are of low quality. You have to say, GCC commentary pool is quite poor.

He also likes Rajin Saleh. Yesterday he was saying why we didn't try to open with Rajin.

I find Ranjit Fernando the most irritating guy out there. The way he wants to stress Sangakkara and Jayasuriya.. man really irritating, he keeps on repeating their names every other ball. Ofcourse its quite understandable there would be some biaz towards the fellow team, but he is just too much to bear. I find he talks too much about the srilankan players than what actually happens in the cricket field.

Siva is irritating too, at times.

My vote would be Ranjit Fernando, Lakshman SivaRamaKrishnan(thats his full name ) and Aamir sohail

Missing those days of Geoff Boycott, Tony Greig and Richie Benaud.

I find the commentators nowadays very single dimensional, just talking on the game, the things happening around in the stadium goes so unnoticed atleast from entertainment point of view for the viewers. Missing those days of Ear rings and lovely ladies commentary.

Ramiz Raja is the worst, he's a bitter man. Don't remember listening to Amir Sohail's commentry but I assume it's no good.

I like David Lloyd's commentry, he's fun to listen to. Sanjay is pretty good also, he's been pretty balanced and analytical in his commentry and doesn't sound irritating like Shivaramakrishnan or Ranjit Fernando.

Aamir Sohail, Ramiz Raja Ranjit Fernando. Both of them makes me want to bang my head against the wall, cringe with frustration and basically lose my sense of mental balace. If you want to hear recycled bucketfuls of trash cliches then go listen to their 'words of wisdom.'
