Default Violence in toronto

So the G20 protests have gone violent here in Toronto. Downtown Toronto is insane. These protesters are so stupid. These small number of hooligans are ruining the message the real peaceful protesters are trying convey.
Here are some pictures.

No, I am sorry for my stupid joke....I am really sorry that this kind of unneccessary violence is being used by a few handful in a country like Canada, where it is indeed almost unimaginable. These looters, roiters are nothing but scums, head-bangers, gang-bangers, acid-metal listener, saitan worshiper, they are upto no good, but causing pure destruction and savagery!

I though Canadians were pacifist and and only capable of violence on ice.

Very sad indeed for Toronto.
Now we have a continuous downpour, those buggers are gone and cops are resting.

It's ayte - $hit happens.

Toronto's got a great mix of right and left wingers. There's several activist groups that do have a proper message. And you can't always blame the activists for the violence. These summits are always used by activists to generate some attention. But when you have so many people join in and try to get their voices heard, a mob can be formed quite easily. You can't really blame the activists for these sorts of mob attacks.

Question is, what was done to these protesters by the authority? You really need to tickle people to get them started on these like these.

Some of the things, of course, weren't appropriate. And if you closely observe the guys who were committing the violent crimes, they had hammers and other similar stuff with them to do these. I highly doubt it's the demonstrators who would use these sorts of things.

Just spare a thought for this.

You're calling these guys the buggers. But what about the government who created a fake lake for the G8 spending so much money? Ontario is known for its lakes...Canada is known for the number of lakes it has. What was the need for a fake lake when we have so many real ones?

People really surprise me when they just don't get the message that these demonstrators are trying to send across.

My anger was directed towards the small number of protesters that were breaking **** all over the place and torched the cop cars. And these idiots werent provoked at all. I am all for a PEACEFUL demonstration. But on Saturday, whatever peaceful demonstrations were there, it was overshadowed by the hooligans. And the black bloc was part of the demonstrators. And yes **** happens but its hardly alright. A peaceful protest will get the message across. A violent one will only convey a message of violence. I am not blaming the activists, I am blaming the idiots who wanted to cause chaos. I dunno if you saw the protests on Saturday but the police were pretty laid back.

And on your spare thought.

The fake lake was the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. It was stupid and unnecessary.

There were many protests on issues that are worth protesting about. But the most hooligans that messed up Downtown Toronto were anarchists and hooligans. They hate capitalism and big corporations. Again maybe thats worth protesting about.

I AM ALL FOR PROTESTING.

But by creating chaos and breaking stuff all they did was overshadow the issues. You are talking about the message protectors are trying to send. The message isnt being received because all everyone is talking about is the idiots that destroyed things everywhere.

Absof*ckinglutely! Thats our tax dollars being wasted for this showbiz. There's a lake right outside the CNE and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, why the heck did harper need a fake lake???

At a time of global economic depression and fiscal deficits making Europe crumble, Harper has already wasted $1 billion on this G20 bs. And he had to host G8 separately in Muskoka? This is what pisses me off the most. We had continuous years of fiscal surpluses in Canada until the Financial crisis hit the world in 2008. Since then these rednecks are out spending our taxes on crap without a second thought.

I dont like Harper. His government seems to have trampled more and more on the very values and freedoms that made me feel good about Canada! Proroguing parliament, repressing the civil service, xenophobic attitude to people who on any other day would have gotten sanctuary in Canada, curtailing healthcare spendings, you name it! He's our very own Dubya!

As for the riots, they were not the right thing to do, but wouldve happened regardless of the city. Anarchists, hippies, anti-establishment types, activists in Toronto I've met and are friends with have a lot of passion and intelligence, but unfortunately they are overwhelmingly white, middle class and have had the luxury of not being from a third world country. Marxist/Socialist idealism has to give way to pragmatic and practical approaches to life and real world issues. Protesting the G20 with songs and flowers is equally as ridiculous as burning police cruisers!

I'm also not very pleased with the GSU at U of T hosting the non-U of T protestors group on campus. The Grad Students Union was very public about communicating a particular stance/perspective - a very anti-capitalist/anti-establishment one of the G20. I'm sorry, that seems overwhelmingly disrespectful of the thoughts, interests and purposes of the thousands of Grad students at U of T. It feels like the Union has been hijacked by some particular type of people.

The GSU should primarily be a front to put forward the interests of ALL grad students to the University, and the community. Such a narrow agenda being broadcast by them is apalling!

Bancan bhai, you know I was just being silly...I am sorry about that, you know.

I agree with Bancan bhai here, proper protest should be orchestrated and done in everywhere, especially where democracy is practiced or preached. But this few violant scums in Toronto are nothing but thugs who are doing it for their own savage desire, and in the process tainting the real protestors, this is no statement, pure terrorism! They should be caught and prsecuted ASAP.

I also agree with Kabir bhai and Ammar bhai that Canadian government is wrong to spend all that money for nothing, by building a fake lake for this G-6/8-20 summit. These informations about the government and that Harper guy wasting money on crap that has no benifit and value in this day of misery and economic depression are new to me!! And Canada has decent number of poor folks and homeless people also. What's happening to the poor native(Indian tribes, nations) of Canada? It is true that Canada does a lot more for her native/Indian/Indigenious population than the neighbouring scum U.S. historically, but Canada needs to more, as we expect that from the government of Canada, we like to think that the Canadian Government and her system have a lot of humity left.

Screw G-20/30/8-9-10....And how the hell Italy become a G-8 nation...their economy is very poor. All the Italian architects friends of mine are strugliing in Amsterdam, Berlin and London to get a small/any design jobs!, and Italy is G-8!! Also Russia? I know Russia is very powerful in terms of ammo, weaponry, but how can a struggling and fragile and weak Russian government be operating in the G-8? They can't even control or touch their mafia human traficking etc.!

By the way, I have good respect for both Italy and Russia, I am just saying from this economic power point of view thang. I know Italy's Industrial depth and power, knowledge is very rich!

An example of a rioting TO man. Once again, you have to remember that there's only a few bad guys that are needed to cause the damage.
