Default What I'd like to see from the team

Tamim : Go from becoming a top quality batsman to a match winner. This will take securing that first not out innings and rotating strikes with your partner.

Imrul : Improved strike rate

Junaid : more of the aggression shown against Pakistan in the warm up match

Mushfiq : Prove that you could make it to the team based on your glovework alone

Rokibul : Rotating strikes and singles, no block fest

Shakib : Responsible innings and better judgement in using powerplays and bowler rotations. There is no questioning your all round abilities so focus on being a world class captain

Ash : Just shut all the voices in your head out and go with your instincts. You're at your best when you cease to think

Nafees : If you get the chance, make it count and shed that minnow basher tag once and for all

Riyad : You have to channel back the tri series form.

Naeem : If you're batting at 7, be the finisher and please stop doing that stretch thing you do that alerts the bowler you are about to go for a blind slog regardless of the nature of the upcoming ball

Razzak : We need 10 good overs out of you and there will be matches where you will get the ball almost new. Show the form you showed with Zimbabwe a couple of months ago

Shuvo : Need 1 match winning performance from you like you did with NZ

Shafiul : Just keep doing what you've been doing and good things will happen

Rubel : Keep the balls on targe and make the batsmen make the mistakes

Nazmul : If given the chance, be what Rasel was for us in 2007, economical

To all 15 of you : I have faith you'll make us proud and we will be as long as we play to win. You have 150+ millions of people behind you so just keep moving forward.

To echo Ian's message somehow, no pressure on the boys.

What I'd like to see is spirit, passion and just play for the love of the game and the country!

I am gonna agree with Raynman here! Pretty sad that we are asking Ash to not think and just play! But, is there any other way around for him? I would say NO. I am done hoping for him but will do so anyway. You are pretty right on about the rest. We need to field with aggression and anticipation. Against a team like India, with so many peerless stroke makers, it's imperative that we save in the range of 25-30 runs with fielding efforts alone. When you do that, run outs tend to happen, and I think if there is one weakness in this Indian team, it's there running between the wkts. We can't spill any regulation chances, and make one or two game changing plays on the field, be it a run out or two, or a blinder or two. Let's go Tigers!

What we would like to see and hope for and what the team delivers is anyone's guess. So many times I have felt so sad to see them crumble and it makes me mad, because I know that they can perform well, but yet they crumble. What has the sports psychologist been doing?

Only excellent fielding can create good chance against India. We can not expect excellent bowling, batting that much but fielding is the key.

What I want to see?

1. Best team (based on recent form) selected for the fight

2. Above Average Fielding. Fielding skills should be considered for players in bubble in the final 11. I understand there will be exception for key players. For example for now Razzak is bad with his fielding, but we have to stick with him until we have another good specialized spinner alternative at hand, who is a better fielder.

3. Aggressive bowling and field position until the game is out of hand.

4. If we bat first, batting more aggressively and set up a target around 270+

5. More innovative use of batting power-play. Use it earlier when players are set and when the payers are playing who can really take advantage of power-play.

6. Play more aggressively during initial 15 over power-play.

7. Like to see more singles and better running between the wickets, especially during middle of the innings. Just staying in the wicket and wasting dots ball after dot balls is not an alternative for any situation in ODI. Staying in the wicket does not mean, a batsman should try not taking singles and rotating.

8. No loppa catch misses.

9. For our fast bowlers, besides line and length, use speed variation.

10. Use all the bowling resource effectively, so that we have enough option left during last five/six overs.

In summary, what I want to see?
A wining game plan and preparation and 100% effort in the field.

@ Fazal,

you want a game plan, a strategy to acheive a win, selecting players on merit and not by name and better fielding.

Didn't we all agree to stop Siddons-bashing till the end of the world cup ?

Ops yes they did....

but to keep the record straight, I didn't pledged anything... beacuse, I think fans are supposed to disccus (praise/criticsm) every aspect of the team before or after the game. It's only during watching the game (specially when you are in the stadium) I have full suport for all of the players in the team, whether pesonally I like some or not.

Default What we got vs. India

Tamim : a gritty 70 but not at the pace required for this match

Imrul : An agressive innings with intent befitting match situation

Junaid : Bit shaky and not the aggression required to carry on where Imrul left

Shakib : Batting - good decision to come at 4, bowling , captaincy nothing special or imaginative other than himself in the batting line up

Mushy : Keeping good to see no major fumbles, batting

Rokibul : made an attempt, good to see a 100 SR

Mahmadullah : both batting and bowling

Naeem : both batting and bowling

Razzak : not reflective of a top ODI bowler in the rankings

Shafiul : Didn't bowl like he can/does

Rubel : came back better after first two overs. Felt like Shakib should have contineud him on as Sehwag was a bit bothered by him
