while ago on channel 24 was watching cricket discussion program where coach sarwar imran's opinion Sabbir's leg spin is not suitable for test cricket more suitable in t20s, in his opinion miraz will be more effective in this test as he thinks miraz has got lots of variations such as flights, turn etc. He sounds very much confidence on Miraz.

Sabbir's leg spin is dud bhat. He doesn't even bowl his leggies in BPL. One or two over at best in international cricket where after two overs of short pitch stuff he gets carted.

The challenge with Nasir, as it is with a lot of our players is their inability to evolve their game. See most batters, eventually get found out. When I'm bowling to my friends at the nets or matches, I know who likes to stay back, who likes pressing forward, who's itching to come down the wicket, etc. In a domestic level (such as BDs), we don't have bowlers skillful enough to execute on these observations and so a batsman like Nasir can continue to score (though you will find their SR diminishes over time). At the international level, bowlers will suss you out in half a session and then have the skills to keep working at your weakness. That has been Nasir's problem. He has not identified additional scoring options as a batter, or mastery of flight as a spinner. The talent is definitely there.

Yes well nasir had a lot of potential not just with bat but with ball, he potentially could have been a specialist spinner, just look at some of his earlier bowling where he got dip and spin.

That's why players such as Shakib and Mustafizur can find slots in other International sides. The rest will struggle to even make it into their A sides.

I was vocal about him because he is one of those few who actually spins the ball. Gazi, Miraz, all these offies can spin it.

Miraz is class. He has both an arm, a quicker ball

What a revelation. A spinner who can actually turn the ball and use variations with intelligence. Here to stay.

could have been 3 wickets if we had reviewed that, but Miraz's fault there.

Oh man, has he worked on his bowling or what! Defo more RPMs on the ball and the control has not been sacrificed. Could finally give us the batting depth down the order!

They'll figure out that when he pauses in his action, that's the big turner and the round-arm is the skiddy arm-ball. So he needs to stay ahead of the batters and disguise the variations better. Still starting to believe the hype.

During the HP camp last summer, he decided to focus more on his bowling than batting, and here is the result!

We have seen dream debuts before only to see them fade a year later, so again i will not hype this kid further than necessary. Great start to the national side and I hope he continues to work hard. Long way to go before we call him the next big thing.

One man army!!!

No one supported him with the bowl. Shakib did support him for one spell but after that, it was him vs England.

I'll give him Test captaincy once he played 20 test matches - that's about two and half years time from now (possibly in mid-2019).

He will be 21 by then.

All had great debut performances.
So had Mehedi, nothing new.
What will be new is if he can continue this in next 5-6 tests.
Happy for him.

Mehedi has bowled 156 good length deliveries today. 133 have been dot balls and only one has been a boundary #BANvENG
