Default Recommend a good Bangladeshi restaurant (Miami)

when i went to kissime 2 years ago, we couldn't find any Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant around. My favorite part about Florida was the 5 lanes road, here in Connecticut all we get is 2 lanes in 95 thats it. and on top of that i did not see a single police driving around, its like heaven.

Heelsha is a small riverside village in Bangladesh which has maintained its centuries old cooking traditions until today. Fresh fish, poultry, meat and vegetables are incorporated into daily meals. It is now possible to partake in this fascinatingly unique and healthy cuisine from Heelsha, Bangladesh, compliments of Bithi and Tipu Rahman. All of their dishes are authentic and created with love. And in keeping with the traditions of Heelsha, only the freshest meats and produce are used.

Bithi and Tipu have more than 30 years of cooking experience and received numerous accolades from regional papers including The Miami Herald,
Sun Sentinel, New Times & Zagat. If you love Indian food, Heelsha is the only place to dine

The food was awesome! "Don't judge a book by its cover" - applies in this case. Its quite low on its getup; but food was just out of this world. We were hungry (and that could be a reason for its great taste); but I am sure if I go there now I will still like it.

Didn't read this post when I was looking for restaurant; but ended up at Dewan after a google search. I guess we made the right choice

Thanks BK bhai; didn't get a chance to try heelsha. There's always a next time

I don't eat forbidden stuff. Everything is halal in God's world, except for flesh of pig, blood, dead animals and sacrificial animals for idols.

I can tell you with a deadpan stare that that wasn't your initial choice of meat cut.

Al hamdulillah. So the third post of the thread has matched your description as well. 7 years is a long time. Great to see they are still there. I will be attending a conference at Miami in May, inshallah. YEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!
