Aklemalp you don't have to pick the cat o'nine tails if you don't want to tonight. Mase and kusarigama works just as well. If not gajon. Or even a wrench.

I'd also heartily suggest you urge all the children and women not to accompany their team. It won't be pretty.

Look at the bright side... the players you HATE will automatically have their career destroyed. At least thank us for weeding and sorting your team out pre-World Cup. Lol

Bad news for us - Tamim picked up a side strain during practice and may not be ready in time for the first Test:

It is evident there is no camp in BC which expects Riad in squad let alone captaining

Apparently Sabbir may get picked for the practice game according to Nannu...

At this point, I just can't....

Ultimately it's not about win/loss but to get some solid practice leading up to World Cup, though.

Yes. Sabbir should be in solitary confinement for the rest of his life stoned in his pillory with scarlet letter hanging.

Is that sarcasm? His off field movies aside, he is literally one of the worst prospects for our longer format and his current ban doesn't even allow him to be considered for next few months. What a waste of slot that would be which could be given to any jodu modu kodu that's not banned and has a better track record in this format.

Shakib back in practice. Looks like he gained some weight during his downtime:

Quote:
“We will wait to announce the Test squad for the West Indies series until the second Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe is over. Since Tamim faced a side strain injury we are also waiting for the doctor's report,” Minhajul told media yesterday.

Meanwhile, Tigers Test and T20I skipper Shakib Al Hasan started to grip the bat from yesterday following his return from Melbourne last month. Shakib travelled to Australia to consult a doctor there over his left-hand's injured little finger, which he sustained in January this year.

“He [Shakib Al Hasan] has just started to grip the bat from today [yesterday]. We will be able to understand how far his situation has improved after tomorrow as there has been a huge gap since he suffered the injury. The physio is expected to give a report on him tomorrow [today] and we will be able to take a decision after that.

Minhajul also informed that they will announce the Test squad for the West Indies series tomorrow. The first of the two Tests will begin on November 22 in Chattogram.

West Indies, led by Jason Holder, are expected to arrive in two groups. The first group will fly for Chattogram immediately after landing in Dhaka.

not sure, based on what--our selector select players. sometimes they are successful, most times they are wrong

tushar--all of a sudden, he got selected for some practice match and then rain washed away that match and he batted 1 innings only. then he is not under consideration

razzaq--got 4 wkt in his return and never get selected

fazle rabbi--bashar says, he is complete package and ideal allrounder, who bowls occassionally 1 or 2 over , even in domestic match

mithun--good T20 and ODI performer--now he is considered for test

ariful-famous for hard hitting BPL T20 khulna team player. not sure, why he is in Test

riad--its been a while-non performer in Test and then selected as captain of test team

nazmul shanto--- not ready but kept trying

sabbir-- he get banned, then he keep getting selected in national team even with out noticeable performances in domestic

Unlucky domestic players--tushar, naeem, shuvagoto, sohag gazi, enam jr-- at one time , people says they need to keep performing in domestic. after several years of excellent performances--they said, you performed well but ur getting old, lets try new unknown player, if they fail-throw them out and never call back to the national team-when they truly perform and get matured

LOL, not the village gangsta as captain again

So Shadman, Naeem, Mijanur, Zakir, Robiul, Ebadat included, with useless Shanto and unorthodox Mithun

No Tushar, Nayeem Islam, Enamul Jr., Razzaq, Shajedul, Ash, Shahadat, Sunny but the brilliant pace kingpin Shafiul is there.
Are you happy?

No need for Tamim for test series. Get him ready for the ODI leg. I want players to be 100% fit before they start playing. What I like about our team now is that we aren't having to rely on Tamim and Shakib in performing and winning.

Losing Holder is a big blow.

Raymon Riefer is better batting allrounder than Holder thoough, and his left arm pace will bring variety to our pace bowling after Shannon and Kemar

They didn’t do well at all with the neighbors. Maybe they are not adapting well. I got a good feeling their tour in the subcontinent is gonna get worse from here.
