Depends on which one did you fly earlier. Other perks that need to be looked at is the stop-overs if any, what are the amenities offered during lay-overs. Also if you travel frequently you might have a good idea about the way the total services offered inside and the hospitality level of different stewards and hostesses. If you already traveled in one of them and liked it, even if it is a bit expensive I will choose that airline to add the points to accumulate towards some bonus ticket.
For instance, last time using my points I was able to upgrade to business class in Emirates.

Agreed.
All of them have stopovers - Dubai / AbuDhabi / Manama / Delhi / Riyad / Doha / Istanbul
In terms of cabin crew friendliness and service, Qatar > Etihad > Emirates > Turkish > Gulf > Saudia > Jet
I used my miles with Etihad to get a free return flight ( paid £350 in taxes ) instead of usual flight price of £550. I also was offered Busienss class and was asked to bid. I bid the lowest possible amount for DAC>AUH and it got accepted! I flew business class for only £70 !

- Air Hostess - Etihad's have to be the best
- Leg room - All economy class seats have same leg room
- Menu - It's plane food ... it's bound to be rubbish in economy class
- Baggage - Travel light!

Ignoring Jet and Turkish Airlines ( apparently both are crap as well ), to summarize,
If you look for the following desirables and give points for top 3 per category :
-Cheap return Fare
-More miles to your miles account from your family members' journeys
-Gives more miles for a LHR > < DAC return journey
-Lower cash amount for taxes when getting a Free flight from miles redemption
-Less miles required to get a Free flight
( Emirates - 12 flights before a free flight, Saudia - 10, Jet - 8, Qatar - 6.5, Etihad - 6, Gulf - 3 )
,
Then the best airlines to take from LHR > < DAC are
1. Gulf Air
2. Etihad Airways
3. Qatar Airways
Hope this was of help to someone. Good night!

Patri ready this time, or going through shortlist again?
Take my advice, buy business class in Thai airways and get a good massage everywhere (including Thai airport), good for long journey and you'll look fresh & rich during interview .Happy hunting.

We disgress.
I am Londoni middle class, used to be Dhakaiya middle class. I hate living conditions of Dhakaiya middle class ( purely because I have already experienced the hardships of that sort of life ), not the people! No patri, will have a few more trips, can't believe how difficult the whole process is! Shobar line asey already karo na karo shathey. Maybe I need to talk to afjar
Back to topic, taking Thai isn't an option for those of us flying from UK or US as you travel farther than you need to and then make your way back. And, I am not that loaded to book Business class. I only fly Business class if I get a free upgrade or if I can upgrade for a very small amount. Btw, it's all about First Class these days - on Emirates you can take a shower!

Hi Crisis, good luck with your bride hunting, I was just kidding about Thai airways , I know it's bit of extra travel time for you guys.
Regarding parti, I believe in jora (couple), you found it difficult so far because you haven't met her yet Once you met her, you'll see everything going so easy .... and take it easy for now :-)
