Default Will Ashraful be Compatible with Our new Squad

Ashraful, can be said,as installing an ageing part in a new computer, give it,with all legacy hardware, drivers are hard to be found...Should we assimilate Ashraful, back into the ODI or T20i Squad, or wait until a better solution, with the dawn of a another challenge for BD(Tri-series with NZ/AUS/India and SA in INDIA) looks like we need to fix our batting line up or face extreme humiliation by our older brothers......maybe its time to let the self conceived greatest batsmen of BD another shot, in the national colours

people make mistakes... look at Pakistan. If Mohammad Amir can make a comeback, so can Ashraful. If his ban period is over, I don't see why he can't be eligible for selection. However, He should not get preferrntial treatment. He has to score and outclass his competitors in NCL like Saif Hassan, Tasamul Haque, Tushar Imran etc.

The ship has sailed for him in ODI's. I think there may be a slot for him in T20s and Tests, but that window looks extremely thin unless he has earth shattering performances in DPL/NCL/BPL.

With all that being said, I said NO

While other guys are performing in the domestics, Ashraful haven't done anything special to even considered to be in the whispers of National team inclusion

If he can perform in the domestic circuits and prove his worth, then perhaps he can be considered. But realistically, his history with match fixing suggests that his national career may be over. What a disappointment, one of the biggest what-ifs in our cricketing history...just goes to show that an intuitive sense of your sport is often not enough if you are not a strong character mentally.

Fazal mama bait! :P

I was thinking of 10 Times An Opponent Absolutely Dominated Bangladesh

1. Shane Watson's whirlwind saga at Mirpur
2. Baz going absolutely berserk chasing 93
3. Baz again with 123 in T20
4. Gillespie's double ton
5. Sanga's 300
6. Rudolph and Dippenaar massive 400 plus parntership
7. Sehwag batting us out of World Cup inaugural match
8. Vaas blowing up top three (thus top order)
9. Colin Munro's recent heroic
10. And an olden goldie... Coventry 194*.

Well, then saw this thread and realized only one batsman in entire history of Bangladesh single-handedly[sic] dominated opposition.

Agree with Rifat everyone makes mistakes. But hate him or love him, as much as a deadweight and dimwit he may be, you can't ignore him.

^^Zeeshan, Abdur Razzaq has the fastest ODI fifty by a Bangladeshi batsman.

They are equal. Ashraful's Trent Bridge 94's fifty came in 21 balls.
Razzak's Bulawayo fifty also in 21 balls.

If he performs. Why not? Ashraful has the shots, skills to come back and if he does well, scores big tons, changes are visible in his temperament im sure he will be in the LOI side asap.

Needs to work hard. Lots of hard work needed to come back!
