Ali Asghar Lobi Injured
What a day... what a day.
In Zimbabwe the bangladesh cricket team lost to Zimbabwe... whereas their big boss Ali Asghar Lobi, MP was injured while clashes with police.
Lobi among 100 hurt as BNP men clash with police in Khulna
Over 100 people were injured in a clash between police and activists of BNP loyal to lawmaker Ali Asghar Lobi yesterday afternoon at the Kalibari square near Khulna thana.
The injured include lawmaker Ali Asghar Lobi, member secretary of Khulna City BNP convening committee Shaharuzzaman Martuza, three journalists and 19 policemen. The car of Lobi was badly damaged during the clash that continued for half-an-hour.
The clash erupted when unruly activists belonging to the BNP faction led by Lobi and the city Mayor tried to remove barricades put up by police at Shahid Maharaj square. --source theDailyStar

Expectation-ta ektu beshi hoiyee gelo na. Why are you looking for any purpose of this thread, may I know? As if all thousand other threads in forget cricket have any purpose?
Its just random thought. Bangladesh just got humiliated by ZIM where Bangldesh is the favorite to win. And then read the news that Mr. Lobi just got assulted by the police even though he is not supposed to be asulled by police as he is an elected law-maker from government party.
Both of them are sad news... tied together with cricket.... but have kind of irony in it.

typical bd politician strategy to get beaten by police and earn sympathy. i bet police didnt even touch him but he may got slight injured by dhakkadhakki of his own people. these kind of people feed on like vultures on simple minded bangladeshis and then we show sympathy to them. when will we learn?
