Seniority is also a factor during promotions in all cases. Bogra was elevated to the district status in 1821 while Rangpur became a district HQ in 1769 . Rangpur is one of the oldest district not only in Bangladesh but also in the Indian sub-continent. Rangpur was always a part of the undivided Bengal unlike Comilla (Tripura) , Chittagong(Arakan) and Sylhet(Asam) .

Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur
Rangpur Medical college Hospital
It is in fact Carmichael College - not ''Karmichel"

Thanks for the info. I was not sure about the spelling of Carmichael. I have visited the college long time ago. It's a huge campus. I am not sure if it is still a huge campus. I know the education in Carmichael is really good.

Before they can have a team they need to have a field first. A decent one where first-class games can be played. Locker room, nets, gallery, weight room etc.

current Rajshahi team is too strong for other divisions.. having Rangpur in NCL will make the tournament more competitive.

What I really enjoy in Rangpur is the incredible Mediterranean like blue sky in the winter. It is specially nice when it is too cold in Europe but not that cold in Rangpur and still not hot/humid.

IMO, BCB should kick out Barisal (who does not have any FC player of their own!) and let Rangpur and greater Mymensingh have a combined team team in NCL.

Following players belong to Rangpur division -

Sajidul Islam (Rangpur)
Shuvashis Roy (Rangpur)
Naeem Islam (Gaibandha)
Dhiman Ghosh (Dinajpur)

Following players are from greater Mymensingh -

Mahmudullah (Mymensingh)
Raqibul Hasan (Jamalpur)
Imran Ahmed (Mymensingh)
Arafat Salahuddin (Mymensingh)

Rest of the positions can be filled by excess players from Dhaka (who are currently playing for Barisal).

That means that Barisal is neither creating any new player nor they are contributing to the national cricket developement which is also the object and spirit of the NCL. They can better concentrate at the National Swimming team.
