The Indian players look like kids (ie - not over 19). Wonder how our players look like. Even 4/5 years ago, we used to send older guys in this tournaments, good to see that the trend has stopped.
Tintin, looks like Baroda has some young players coming up there.

Yes, Baroda has produces a bunch of fast bowlers over the last five years. Apart from Zaheer and Pathan Jr, there is a Rakesh Patel who was considered a bright prospect not so long ago, and the lesser talented Irfan Pathan Sr. The new boy Munaf Patel was also from Baroda, but he has chosen to represent Bombay.

Looks like karthik and Raina steadying the innings quite comfortably. *sigh*
Times like this, you wonder why Enamul Jr. was played in Chittagong's pacer friendly wicket and why Talha Jubair is completely out of the picture. Also, why wasn't Ash in this team ?

What is wrong with these players?? Do they forget the BASICS when they go on batting??? Can't they just cleanly defend a ball and survive few good bowlers and then hit the other bowlers? These is basic strategy. I was not expecting this from our U-19 team. I had high hope about them. I thought they have the right mindset and will end the misery.
Well I will never give up on our players. Hopefully soon they will realize they are no less than the others and start playing confidently.

They have managed the unthinkable. Now, I am starting to question my own belief about the future of our cricket (well, not really). 34 not out is not an easy fit to master but we did it, Amazing job by the kid.
