What a con job, right? He fooled the entire world, but couldn't fool the bangladeshi people (sarcastic comment).
Congrats Dr Y!

Her Esteemed Highness Hasina and her coterie must be burning up in jealousy. Wait for another court case to be initiated against Dr Yunus.

I can think of four in addition to Dr Yunus.

Norman Borlaug
Nelson Mandela
Aung San Suu Kyi
Elie Wiesel

Can't think of the other two.

In any event, a very rare honor. A very good company to keep.

I wish it was just Hasina, because I encountered a lot of regular people who fell for Hasina's propaganda.

Correction: He is the 7th person to receive this joint honor. The original DS article had a typo. Thanks Mav.

The achievement places him in the company of Norman Borlaug, Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Elie Wiesel, Aung San Suu Kyi and Mother Teresa — personalities who have received the two medals from the US as well as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Sure there are definitely many blind followers of Hasina, who refuse to use their education or common sense. Aren't we seeing that in many recent political events as well. Put them all together and call it Hasina.

We are capable of finding problems with prophets, these are even more normal human beings with more errors. So, it's easy to find a hole if you want to. Question is, should we explore those human errors to demean a great achievement of this magnitude?

Blind followers decide to follow Hasina, what can u do about it. Unfortunate.

When a Real visionary, true patriot talks you listen carefully. You work hard to make his visions, give his ideas a reality. True visionary will always give you hope, will show you the way to light when you are lost into dark. Bangladesh is proud to have you Dr. MUHAMMAD YUNUS. A sad story is we are not fully recognizing and using your full potential.

That was one of the most thoughtful write ups on the tragedy. It also gives us an action plan as to what needs to be done. Something that hasn't come from the government other than passing blame or diminishing the tragedy (Maal, KMA, SH to name a few)
