It was difficult deciding who should open the batting with Dilshan but i decided to go with Anamul for the better of BD. I dont wanna stick with Ashraful. The more experience Anamul gets the better.
Cant wait to see this team in the CLT20

if malinga doesnt play, DG is a seamer short.. if Lasith pulls out, Dhaka should go for Tait.
my squad based on the team so far
Dilshan
Ashraful
Anamul
Shakib
Shah
Afridi
Joshua
Soumya
Mash
Saqlain
Mahbubul
here i left Luke and Malinga out because chances are DG might not get them. The squad looks good. Rather than going for so many batsmen, DG should have gone for 1-2 seamers.

What's the point Mash skipping? He will be injured by the second game and will be out of next four matches, and if he is fit he will end up with lackluster figures from death overs.

he captained the team to title last year.... so it only makes sense. his death over bowling is still better than any other seamers in the Bangladesh history.

I see many of your teams here. And quite frankly I'm quite shocked to see that none of you have selected our best batsman(Shakib) to play the number three role. It's T20, you need your best batter to bat as much as possible. I'd even place him in opening If I can.

I'm more concerned about how much control Mash will have over the team in the field. Last time in the BPL final, the Pakistani players like Afridi and co. practically were leading the team like field setting etc. I want to see Mash show more authority than that.

Not really. Syed Rasel, Shafiul and Ziaur have better economy rates than Mash in T20I where no. of runs conceded is more important than taking wickets.

not gonna count Rasel and Zia since they didnt event play many T20s. But between Shafi and Mash, there economy isnt much different. On the positive side, Mash played 20 games and grabbed 19 wickets where Shafi played only 9 and bagging 5. For the difference on 1 run per over, I would take Mash anyday over shafi for the better possibility of getting a wicket.

It does not matter who will you take as that is your personal choice. I was just pointing out to the fact and the anomaly between that and your statement. I like Mashrafe but there are moments he can really piss you off. Like that Ponting catch in Fatulla or the six-sixes over when he handed the match and the series to Zimbabwe.
BTW, I was relating his injury and his captaincy. It had nothing to do with his bowling. He has multiple instances of falling into that unfortunate situation in the past.

I hope Dhaka's coach will care about mixing foreign players with BD players, otherwise he can easily make the top 3 be all foreign players followed by Shakib at 4.
This is the top order I want to see
Dilshan
Bijoy/Ashraful
Luke Wright
Shakib
O. Shah

Difficult to support a team other than Dhaka this time around...I was for Khulna last time.
Reasons:
1. They got Shak
2. They have the fewest Pakistanis (and I hope Afridi pulls out)
3. Did I mention they have Shak?

By the way...I find it extremely interest that (1) Shak plays his best cricket against Pak and (2) his BPL teams have the fewest Paks (Khulna last time, Dhaka this time). Might just be a fortunate coincidence or something more sinister. Either way, I like.

In T20s Shakib has an average of 17 with a strike rate of 119. Luke Wright has an average of 27 with a strike rate of 148. Clearly Wright is a better batsmen for T20s. So thats why Wright should bat at #3.
You just contradicted yourself.
