India vs Bermuda
This match could be an important match on our way to the super8 round. What should we expect from this match? How poorly should India win so that their NRR is below our? there is a possibility that they will be standing first or second in the group after tomorrow's match but with 2 games played.

let's hope they don't pull the NRR by much. i know they'll probably have a higher NRR than us by the end of today's game, but they'll also have played an extra game.
i wish bermuda can do well with the bat tomorrow and get close to what india gets.

bermuda's batsman won't do anything...i hope hurdle can get a couple early wickets (he is a express pace bowler) and leverock does some magic.
the wicket will be conducive to spin.

Bermuda won the toss and decided to bowl. India would have probably batted even if they won the toss.

Here is the equation. If India are to have any chance of making it to the Super 8s, the first thing they need to do is beat Bermuda. And beat them big. Then they will have to take out Sri Lanka and go hum Beegees' staying alive. If India loses to Sri Lanka, they can sing John Denver's leaving on a jet plane. If they win they can twiddle their thumbs in the team hotel rooms and watch Bangladesh v Bermuda.
Bangladesh have the advantage of going into their last game against Bermuda, knowing exactly what they need to do get ahead of India in run-rate race. Of course, Bangladesh could beat Sri Lanka and then the rat race would be between India and Sri Lanka.

Bermuda did not work in our interest. Now, India gonna put up a massive total and get out Bermuda cheaply. It is easier to get a better RR batting first than second.

I think Bermuda has better chance of restricting India to less than 350 and posting 200 in reply than getting 200 by batting first and make India bat 40 overs to reach the target.
In the worst possible case, Bermuda could get allout for 70 and India could knock off that total within 5-7 overs.

I'm quite confident that India won't win on Bermuda as easily as Sri Lanka did. India bowling side is not as strong as Srilankan (Kumble for H.Singh btw) and Hemp and Cann can bat. On the other hand we can expect Hurdle and Leverock to make some trouble to Indian batsmen.

It is not the runrate that matters but the aggregated runrate. I am extremely happy that bermuda chose to bowl first.
scenario one: India getting 320-350 Bermuda 130-150.
scenario two: Bermuda 65 allout. India knocking it of in 7 overs with one or two wickets.
Scenario one india gets +3.8 bermuda -3.8.
Scenario two india gets +8 bermuda -8.

Look at the positive side. If this is what Bermuda always do, Bangladesh can look forward to last league without feeling nervous about the toss.

i think bermuda batted first for the condition..it says there could be some moisture in the pitch early on..and bermuda should not expose thier naive batsmen at this condition ...
india already lost one wicket...
so i guess they are doing good at this stage

1.1 | Jones to Uthappa, OUT, OMG! what a catch by Dwayne Levorock! And what wild celebrations! Let no body say anymore that a fat man can't jump! Uthappa has a nervous poke, away from the body, at a length-delivery outside off stump. It flew to the right of Leverock hurled himself - hard to visualise, I am not lying but that's what happened- to his right and plucked it single-handed. And the celebrations followed. He ran off to nowhere in particular, changed directions and again went on a jig. The players mobbed him, few other went down in heap in midwicket in celebration. All over each other. Bermuda are overjoyed. The bowler is the bottom of that heap and hold on he is crying. Tears of joy! What a start! | | AR Uthappa c Leverock b Jones 3 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 75.00 |
An 18 year old boy from Bermuda takes an Indian wicket with his first ball at the world cup!
Did anybody see that?

What a catch Leverock made!
India 33/1 after 6 overs.
Sopcast 18939 is working for me.

Yeah, Bermuda gotta get them belted below 300. If they can do that that would be awesome.
