When I was playing with the hobbits. They can be really pesky when it comes to sticking to the rules of good intellectual discussion.

Well, they always say never to discuss Religion or Politics at dinner parties. (At least we have been able to identify all of the antisocial muppets on this forum. ahem.. )
If you wanna keep this site spotless, you'll have to remove the Forget Cricket section, coz where ever there are Bangladeshis there'll be talk of religion and politics!
btw, anyone know of any message boards like this where we can debate with fellow Bangladeshis?

Nothing is wrong with it. But perhaps it's not the right place to have raging debates on issues not relating to Bangladesh Cricket?

You mean the "Forget Cricket" subforum is not the right place to have raging debates on issues not relating to Bangladesh Cricket?

Fab, I agree with you. Whenever Bangladeshis congregate, the talk always turns to politics or religion.
Would you like to talk about something else? How about American Idol? No, no, how about The Apprentice, or Survivor Palau? Those chicks be hot, no?
Give us a topic, any topic, and trust me, we'll turn it into a huge debate.

Doesn't BC have bandwidth issues too? Besides, I have no desire to be a public nuisance.

Best one I heard went from Tsunami -> Victims -> Donations -> appalling Arab donations -> Jamat and BNP -> Hasina loves India and I'm sure you know how the rest goes!

You asked
>> Nah man! we really need some guidelines
and Arnab replied with those 'guidelines'
Anyway, it was a joke. Don't take it seriously

1. Who cares what Zunaid bhai says when he says it "not as a moderator"? He is an old fart. While I agree about the judiciousness part, I totally disagree with the part "keeping in mind what this site is for."
2. There is no bandwidth issue. Posts that contain 2 kilobytes of texts don't use up bandwidths. Tons of megabytes of videos do.
So, yeah, lame clutch. But expected.
3. Yeah, I know most of us are timid pu$$ies that cower at the thought of being perceived as a nuisance (Haire ego and image, what do you have to lose on a freaking messagebord?? Your made up "lojja shombhrom"? It always fascinates me) and unsure of our own ability in maintaining good judgment. Again, expected.
