Is Chris Gayle the best hitter in the world?
Well we all now how good he is.
There are(were) many other powerful striker of the ball like Sehwag,Jayasurya,Afridi(when he is on song),Gilchrist,AB Devilliers,Watson & many many more.
But looking at Gayle's 2nd IPL hundred in only 4 matches,I have no doubt that he is the best hitter in the world.
feel sorry for WI cricket, with Gayle they could have at least won the series against Pak.

Gayle and Sehwag have that X factor; you somehow have the feeling that they can win any match for you no matter how high the RRR.
Afridi was in the same league but has not performed for a looong time.
So it would be Gayle/Sehwag, followed by Watson, I Pathan, and a whole group of hitters

He is just brutal. Definitely the biggest hitter of all.

answer is yes, if u are paying him enough money. he is one of those money talks people walks guys.
but if u want him to play for ur life, or play for ur country, very very wrong pick. he will be too lazy then, and get out after a few hits.

It is good to let Shakib off captaincy, it will relieve some pressure. He will be offered captaincy again in a few years when he will be more than ready, Bangladesh will voyage into a new horizon then

How did you come to that conclusion. I am sure he loves playing for Windies. He won few matches for Windies too. He has 2 triple centuries. He scored a match saving century against Australia this year followed by a 79 ball hundred.
T20 suits him better. No national pride in stake. quickfire 30 is a great innings and going at a rate of over 7 runs per over seems decent.
And i can say that he is still not moving fast in this ipl. He score 94 out of his 107 in boundaries.

Not true. He loves WI cricket. He's just getting treated poorly. Look at how Chanderpaul is complaining as well. Its unfortunate that WICB don't treat these players right. Or else they couldve been better.
Also he is hands down the best hitter in cricket now. He has raw power which you can't teach and also exceptional hand eye coordination. Players like Sehwag and Afridi don't even come close.

Gayle is by far the best 6 hitter in world cricket. Sehwag is as good as anyone; but he (and Dilshan) is more used to hitting 4s. Gayle reminds me of crocodiles, very calm, can not move; but have sudden and strong reflexes.

That's not true at all. When he plays for WI there's a lot of responsibility on his shoulder, plus he has to deal with so much crap from WICB that has to effect his game. While here he's playing with no pressure what so ever.

One thing about Gayle is that he confuses field settings as he clears the fence so easily. SO fielders to save boundaries are often useless. He also rarely gets caught out in the field, most often he is either bowled or caught by slips.

I think Gayle is a good hitter and have the ability to turn any match.
After Gayle there is Pollard who have the same kind of hitting ability from West Indies.
And they are playing in IPL from different teeams.

Gayle will be facing his the biggest challenge today. It will be interesting to see how he will bat against Johan Botha and Warne if he survives 10 overs. And if he survives 10 overs then Rajasthan will be in big trouble

Yes, he is. Just saw the 6s stat. 26 6s @ 6 inn. Second best is 18 6s. But at 11 inn!! And that would be SheWack. By the time Gayle plays 11, he will be off the chart!
That flattrackbully gets called one of the best hitter, but he is not. He doesn't even have the same build up as Gayle. Gayle is HUGE and POWERFUL. After Gayle it's Pollard, then Yousuf Pathan.
