I thought Rubel was injured too. If that's the case Shafiul will be in the team And here comes Gayle. May God save us

Rubel is not injured. In fact I saw Rubel fielding in latter part of WI innings. I think team management wanted to give him little break. Also he bowled poorly during the practice match.

Zia will most likely not play since we're set with our batsmen. Rubel will most likely come in for Abul.

Rubel was our best ODI fast bowler before he got injured, even better then Mash, he bowled excedently well with the new ball..it was a crime to drop him for abul in the 1st place

No it was not a crime. It was smart. Do we want Rubel to get injured again? He just bowled in 2 tests which is a ton of workload after a major injury he sustained. He needed a rest. You see other Test teams doing the same. Rotation of pacers is important. Overusing pacers will cause injuries.

Why are people not understanding this?

you are absolutely right if that was the case for taking aboul in place of rubel, but i am not sure rubel was dropped just because selectors wanted to rest him, they legally picked abul over rubel, and i was pointing in that case that it was a crime

I'm sure that was the reason bhai. Otherwise why would they drop Rubel who has been our 2nd best ODI pacer for the last few years now? Obviously you never know with our selectors but that's the most logical reason.

Plus we can't go in with the mindset of just relying on Mash and Rubel only. We need more guys we can rely upon. So it wasn't a bad idea to give Abul a few reps. He did pretty well in the 1st ODI and 2nd ODI he was basically not fit enough.

Rubel was not picked because he was completely out of form as an ODI bowler. In warm up match he bowled 4 overs and gave away 30+ runs. Probably scared the selectors.

Beside we won, so I am not too fussed. And we have a fit and fresh Rubel for last 3 ODI. Only people I feel sorry for is Rubels victim.

You never know, Zia might be in for third ODI... Abul only bowled one over in 2nd ODI and we won it big and bowled them out. So selectors will trust the bowling we have without Abul and try to take someone who can bat. They certainly don't trust our batting yet....

I think our batting is already very long. We didn't even need the service of all the batsmen in the last 2 ODIs as after a long time we got somewhat a strong top order. We need Rubel ahead of Zia IMO.

Why the replacement has to be Zia if Rubel is not injured?! Zia is a hit and miss with bat and a nothing bowler for ODI.

SBNS won't be the same as SANS. Spinners won't have it as easy. Pacers will have a bigger role to play. Rubel needs to replace Abul

Banfan, don't forget we only bowled 31 overs - if we had to bowl all 50 over, we might be in deep trouble...

Rubel is not injured as he fielded in the 2nd ODI. He might be playing the 3rd ODI though.

Good point KP bhai.
Most importantly we will be playing in SBNCS which will be bit different than Khulna. Most people forgot since outfield renovation this is will be the first ODI in SBNCS.

Mushfiqur also hit back at West Indies coach Ottis Gibson's suggestions that Bangladesh have "had it easy" after Gibson said that it was his batsmen who have given away the wickets.

"We have forced them to gift the wickets," Mushfiqur said. "Our bowling partnership was very good so they didn't have any options apart from giving us the wickets. As simple as that."
So, Gibson might be the reason for another superb bowling performance by our bowlers to win tomorrow...

What is the renovation and how does it effect the game?

As per Mushy, Rubel was "rested" after his extensive bowling in the Tests. Make sense. He should absolutely slot in for the other pacer slot, giving us two genuine tail-enders, Razzak and Rubel. All others, Mash, Gazi, can bat a bit.

It only happens to BD...when it mattered the most the pitch is not favorable...comn we need to win this...on the other hand if pitch favors pacers why we are not taking a pacer replacement...are we again going backwards!

There are 4/5 pitches in SBNS, we don't know how the pitch will behave. Pitches used for test match and NCL were behaving different...so lets wait. I'm sure they understand the need for spinning pitch.....

Not so upset with this loss.... Now the series is alive and the players will be under pressure to perform. This would give a very wrong attitude to the new guys in the team....
