Well done West Indies! They did deserve to win for being the better team. At least I think that for us it doesn't matter how many matches we lose these days. What matters is we are playing much better cricket than anyone anticipated. If we continue to improve at this rate, West Indies will have to work very hard to beat us in future ODIs.

Looking forward to the upcoming test matches

spinners did well today. wonder if bashar ever thought about using rajin or faisal for one or two overs when all the medium pacers were getting the treatment. Last two matches, the pitch played a part. not today. ball came to the bat easily and three medium pacers were just feeding the fire. could this faisal be finally the much needed accelerator at no. 6? hopefully. we have too many all rounders like rana, mushfiq and shujon. its time get rid of shujon, who is a duck with the bat and his bowling is well known. Murtoza's injury just didn't help us...anyway..onto asia cup!

What is unfortunate is we have to pack our ODI squad with mediocre "all rounders" who can only score about 20 runs at a 25.00 strike rate, and even more unfortunate that a nation of 140 million people can't find 3 decent batsmen who are able to whack the ball out of the ground when there's a need

Based on 3 one dayers batting performance:

Keep: Pilot, Faisal, Rajin, Rana, Bashar, Mushfiq, Rafique

Drop: Alok, Mahmud, Ashraful (3+0+17 in 46 balls),

Ashraful's success rate is only 30%, he is very inconsistent, even in the domestic league. I dont think teams like Abahani or Mohameddan would recruit him, they never did, because they know he is not the player they can depend on.

Msot dependable player in the team is Pilot.

sajjadul, you should change your name to abdul jalil sajjadul (sec general of AL who predicted about April 30).

Tell us what happened to your prediction?

...........

Thats unfair. U shuffle his batting position and then say he is not consistent. Why dont u let him play in his original middle order position and then see how he does with the 20over old ball. We need some steady openers who can take shine off the new ball, and then let Rajin and Ash build the total. One with level headed defence, the other with classy strokes will be an awesome combination. Our bad luck is that our openers are not doing their job. Some one like Chopra is a farj for us.

tnb you made a good point. i think our coach and managers can never make up their mind, they experiment way too much. experiment is good, but they do it in the wrong places. why cant they do these experiments in some practice matches? Before you start a series, lets have 10-15 practice matches and do all the experiments you want. And when it comes to the real matches, just stick to your decision. Players are getting shuffled so much that I think sometime they become unsure about their task and cant apply their natural game properly. if they spend more time on practice matches, the players will face more real game situation, the coaches then help the players to enahance theirs skills and techniques.

If you follow baseball, you will see every players have his own potion to bat and field, so they become specialized i their own areas. Sometimes I have a feeling that if our team had a coach from NY Yankees, they might do better. They truly knows how to motivate, train and put the right players in the right place.

i can understand you wanna drop ash and other based on one series but there r some problems like who r you going to replace them with? and all other countries had problem playing in WI even Eng drawed with them so why so harsh on the team? AT least its not a total humilation like we use to even one yr ago... Keep it cool and foolow the team for 1/2 yr more then we will be in position (if therate of imp goes like now) to say this things where we will have enough good player in pipe line to play.
