First XI for tomorrow\'s practice match....
I think Bangladesh should play with all the players that they are expecting to play against England on 16th. they all need to be tested in ODI form of the game.
My team for tomorrow as well as for the 1st ODI on 16th is as follows (according to batting order):
1. Javed Omer
2. Nafis Iqbal
3. Aftab Ahmed
4. Habibul Bashar
5. Ashraful
6. Khaled Mashud
7. Khaled Mahmud
8. Manjarul Islam Rana
9. Mohammed Rafique
10. Taposh Baisya
11. Mashrafee Mortaza

i like the way you gave Ashraful star status by just calling him ashraful.
it like saying Lara or Tendulkar!
But i do like Aftab @ 3
but rafique should be higher, What happened to Rajin?

I was also thinking whether we should try Rafique or Mortaza on top/no.3 for pinch hitting.........but after seeing their performance and also in keeping the condition in mind........i thought it would not be a good idea.............
But i mind says........in certain situations (may be against england when Batty/collingwood in attack in middle overs) we can take a hard thought to use Rafique...........i have huge confidence on his hitting.

There was a news from team management that i read on prothom alo stated that...............they have decided to play 2 pace bowlers out of mortaza/tapash/nazmul.................that is why they sent both Anwar and shahadat back home. 3rd pacer will be Sujon.........
But i agree with you that...........in English condition.......playing 3 of them with sujon will not be a bad idea,

Mashrafee is in form, one practice match should be enough for him, and I say that should be against Worcs. On the otherhand, Nazmul need to play both of the practice matches as he is out of competative cricket for months.
Also Ashraful needs a break. Rajin should be playing in his place and it should be a now or never situation for him.

I would save it for Worcs as they are stronger opponent and do all the experiments I want to do against Derbys.

Ashraf, N. Iqbal and Rajin are the main reasons of worriness for the selectors, as it appears in the media. On that context let's give Javed and Aftab a break and let both the Nafeeses open the innings. Their merit will be judged on equal inputs.
I want to bring Ash to 3rd position, Rajin to the 4th and Habibul Bashar at the 5th, just like in the 2nd innings of Durham test. It was quite effective.

Agreed with the idea of giving two Nafess a go.......yes, JO can be rested
but to me.....Aftab should be given the chance to have the momentum going....and sattle down at no.3...............ASH at no.3 may not be a good idea.

From Dav's indications, Aftab's place is secured. He and Faruq want to use two fresh players at a time and give chance for the remaining two in the second match. On that context I proposed to give Aftab a break in the first match, whereas, in the second match he should be included inevitably.
Ash can retain his fourth position as well, with Habib's 5th.

Not bad. Atleast we can witness some hattrick by opponent bowlers.

I think we have done enough experiment. Just play the best 11 and give them more match practice. We are in no position to experiment anymore.

But accoring to daily Star, Dav thinks otherwise....
--------------- DailyStar----------------------------------------------
He also argued on the idea of giving more match practice to those who will eventually play in the first one-day international. "I think overall who is not going to play in an ODI does not mean the end of the world. Too often we try and give too many matches to the main players. But it is also important for the other players to get the chance to play in the practice matches and do something better," said the Bangladesh coach. source

Thats tells me Dav & Co. is looking for way to increase the pool of selectable players with some exposure.experience so that they are not stuck with same old same old players (whether they are in-form or out of form). This will create more competetion and its a clear signal to under performed superstars that those safety nets of old days are vanishing quickly.

Guys, we do not have any consistent performers in out team and thus all these proposal of different batting order. Only players who showed some hint of cosistency (over last 12 months) are the followings:
JO
Nafees I
Bashar
Aftab
There is no benefit in chopping and changing everytime we play an ODI. Just because someone had a good day in last game doesn't mean that he should go up/down in batting order, especially the 1st 3 batsmen. Playing new ball requires experience, not everybody is effective with it.
I am sure DAV will keep the line up very similar to what he had during last 5 ODIs (with the exception of someone getting dropped).
Let's hope we can fight.

Very Good team Yaseer! But I think the axe will fall on Rana and another batsman will be selected instead.
Any of you fancy Tushar Imran's chances in the ODIs'? I think he'll do enough in the practice matches to give headache to the selectors.
