Default A cry for help: Nannu\'s fitness

The following email was sent to me through banglatigers. Read the letter to BCB. I support him. Do you?

From: AHMEDUR@cs.com

Subject: Need your help !
To: fwullah@Yahoo.com

Dear Mr.Ullah,
Thanks for being a host of an impressive website of
Bangladeshi cricket. Recently I sent a couple of E-mails to the
authority of
BCB by requesting him to give Nannu a chance in BD test side but he
neither
did reply nor let Nannu play in the BD test side. I looked at fan's
recent
comment and thought about forwarding the latest E-mail I sent to the
authority of BCB. Please, let me know if you feel the same way that I
do or
at least your logical concern. Hope you all the best.

Sincerely Ahmedur from U.S.A

To
The Authority, BCB.

Dear Sir,
A few months ago I sent an E-mail by requesting you to
give
Minhazul Abedin (Nannu) a chance in the test team. Unfortunately same
game
with the different level was played against Nannu like before and BD
tormented by S.Lanka again. How could Akram gets fitness certificate
when he
is at least 1.5 times over weighted than Nannu? Is Nannu significantly
older
than Moni? Why should age be a factor for Nannu when De Silva can be
considered at the same (almost) age for a better team than BD? Does BD
really
have any more choise to leave Nannu out of team? Do the selectors of BD
look
at the record or they go by their sweet will? More than 1000 runs
weren't
good enough to be considered as fitted or Nannu needed to put even a
better
show like he did against McGrath, Shane Warne and Scotland in 1999
world cup?
Did we need to rely again on physio J. Goldstar's certificate after his
wrong
treatment for Mashrafe which caused him severe injury? Could the result
be
worse if Nannu were given a chance which he deserved?

I'm just another patriot who at least more impartial and
possess
better sense than these selectors. Nannu never paid anything to me or
he
never knew me but I made these efforts from my heart. May Allah help
everyone
to have better sense ! Please, think about the answer of these
questions and
give Nannu a chance in the second test.

Sincerely Ahmedur from U.S.A

What BCB is doing goes beyond logic. Now its in the stage of personal vingence.

The only way Nannu can come is if BD fans starts making rally, force the govt to take action. As long as Mr. Ashraful is there, no chance for Nannu probably.

Default I used to get replies from BCB

That is until I started making suggestions and pleading for good sense.
Saber hussein responding to my mails after I started urging the removal of Durjoy as captain (not as a player). I also asked him to have a national league for the under 19 teams from the six divisions and to create a database in the BCB facility to keep track of all first class, ODI, Test and limited overs matches as well as having listing all the players.

I realized later that I should have just kept in touch as a FAN and not try to 'help' in any capacity. It's not a free country, if you ain't in the board your thoughts don't count.

That, ladies and gentlemen was my experience with BCB. Now, if Saber comes back I will be happy because he'd bring the life back in our cricket. He genuinely tried to make our cricket global and it's a shame how politics stopped him further our cause. I bet he'd whipped this lazy/scared butts into shape and at least scare them into playing better.

I agree that Nannu should be given a chance to atleast put his name as a test cricketer. Players that can't play are getting chances. Anyways, hopefully this e-mail help but I don't think it will. If they see any subject containing words "nannu" and "select" - they will trash it. So many good news articles were written supporting Nannu, polls at respected Cricket website shows Fans want Nannu by a huge margin. Most of all, Nannu proved his talent. If that doesn't convince the selectors - nothing will. So you can do whatever you want - nothing will help, unless you are rich/powerful.
