It was a high scoring match in the end, with India A winning by just 39 runs. Too bad the match wasn't televised, would have made some exciting viewing.

I could have got a triple
hundred: Dhawan
:
"I was aware of the
record and it felt really
special to score these
runs. When I got out in
the 44th over it occurred
to me that if I had batted
till the end I had a chance
to score a triple hundred.
I am happy with what I
scored though," he told

i thought this was the WR, but to my surprise there was another innings where batsman scored more!
Ali Brown scored 268 of 150 in 2002

dhawan's innings has overshadowed pujara's which is a bit unfortunate for him since he's trying to get into the ODI side obviously. obviously was a good batting wicket but still pujara with a ton at 100+ s/r after he had failed in zimbabwe and not done well in the first couple of A team matches, had he not scored this ton and less significantly the 50 in the previous match he may have been pushed back down the pecking order but this ton could put him near the top.
