Default Ireland vs Zimbabwe - Things getting interesting here

Ireland are going to win! Go Guinness!

Ireland 221/9, Bray 115* (carried his bat through - woohoo!)
Zimbabwe 134/5, 30.4 overs

I want Ireland to win, then beat Pakistan, and then advance to the super eights. I think they are the only associates capable of making a second round cut. Onno shob gadhar dol!

RRR still ok. Another wicket can certainly give Ireland the advantage.

Taylor and Matsi. These two were the heros against us where the runrate was over 8 with 10 overs to go. So this partnership is crucial. the runrate is not even 5 at this point.

32.3 Rankin to Matsikenyeri, no run, off the back foot out to point, Rankin steaming in here and working up decent pace...around the 81mph (130kph) mark
32.2 Rankin to Matsikenyeri, no run, oooh, extra bounce again and this time the ball flies over the attempted cut shot

looks like this guy's working up some decent pace.

Zimbabwe will win if they play calmly and just goes for single and twos.

Needless panic-stations out there. 14 from 30 needed
44.6 Johnston to Brent, 1 run, fended to point - or rather, just short of point - who swoops, fires in a throw but it's wide of the stumps
Here come the Zimbabwe nerves...
44.5 Johnston to Brent, no run, swing and a miss!
44.4 Johnston to Brent, no run, defended solidly this time
44.3 Johnston to Brent, no run, gone! No. Everyone in the ground bar the bowler appealed - how utterly bizarre. The batsman came forward, appeared to get an edge but his bat hit the pad
44.2 Johnston to Brent, no run, again, a good length which is defended on the front foot this time
44.1 Johnston to Brent, no run, good length there from Johnston, forcing the batsman back who then defends

47.5 Botha to Utseya, 1 run, a desperate scrambling single
10 from 14 and the Ireland fans are singing in the stands. All 10 of them

two things: good humour, and unnecessary panic.
