NZ-WI - 3rd test (series tied 1-1): 5th day - final session

I think this is shaping up to be a great finish.

NZ chasing history. WI still need 150+ runs with only 3 wickets in hand for the final session.

NZ won the toss and wanted to bat first. 1st innings Neesham (78) guided the tail to a 293 total. Only 50 from NZ's side. Roach got 4, Benn got 5.

WI 1st innings Edward (58) and Brathwaite (68) helped WI get a slim lead. 317 total. Wagner exploites the bounce. Takes 4.

Then NZ's second innings, It was Williamson (161*). With McCullum (25), Neesham (51) and Watling (29) giving huge support. Roach takes 4 again.

WI second innings is turning out to be a dissaster. The target was 308 with plenty of overs. Now they are 163 for 7. Only Bravo did anything of any sort (40). THe final session is huge for NZ. All the fast bowlers are firing in all cylinders. Boult. Southee, and Craig all among the wickets.

37 overs remaining. Holder and Shillingford in the middle negociating pace and bounce.

A wide slip, one on 4th slip, gully, point, short cover for shillingford facing Boult. And Maiden.

Wagner short ball to Holder and he pulls it for four.

And then same ball same shot almost carries to a fielder. wow!!!

There is no sun. So it is little cloudy. Both batsmen are being peppered with short balls from both ends. Trainer has been called on. Spraying MAGIC spray on Holders thumb and Shillingfords wrist. Good plot by NZ. Game resumes.

NZ inches closer. Wagner gets his first wicket in this innings. Easy catch from Benn. outside the off, Benn plays to short cover. WI 232/9. I think this is over. 19.3 overs I don't think the last pair can survive. If they do it would be a miracle.

What a farce. Wagner bowled a straight delivery and immidiately appealed. McCullum wanted a review. lol. It hit the bat with his legs no way near. What funny antics by the NZers. I am sure this is to take a break or rattle the new batsman.
