whats up with century and 150 plus innings in DPL

whats the reason behind so many 150 plus innings in DPL, it never happened before, i mean collective century beyond 150 runs.

is it because poor bowling or batting wicket or our domestic players are getting better or they are so keen to play in national team, so trying their best?

This is definitely a very good sign of improvement and we can hope for a better future.

It is good that our batsman are finally scoring some centuries in docile pitches, because couple of years ago, they could not even do it!!! Now, it is time to make some sporting pitches to give the bowlers some assistance.

I think there is a mixture of pitches this time. Fatullah is flat and batting-friendly as always and either Rajshahi or Khulna (I can't remember which one - Eshen bhai help!) has a sporting wicket. The other ones are classic 'Deshi pitches.

As far as i know NCL matches played in Khulna was sporting wicket and Rajshahi had a green top Wicket.
Any way Javed Omar,Rajin Kapali Tushar all are our vateran domestic performer all of them are playing but young lads are out performing them its a clear cut indication of quality batting from the young generation.Further more this young lads are surpassing performance of Habibul Basher !!

now even after 200 plus score in one innings --nazimudding didnt get much hype.

ash, rokib and other non performer should be little concern

Best part is the top performers are from new generation....Tushar/Bashar/Hannan

nazimuddin has always had a good FC record, use to average 37 a few years ago, but he never looked too good when he got chances in the national team. anyway, good to see these 150+ scores coming regularly.

nazimuddin didnt play that many international also.

i think he can be used in 20/20 because of his clear hitting. we need a whole diff team for 20/20

putting nazimuddin into the t20 national and ODI teams was a strange selection really, he has very poor records in those formats, much better FC player so either he's really lucky or he has a better temperament for longer format cricket. however in international cricket the bowlers will easily find ways to get a batsman out if that batsman has any weaknesses, something that probably doesn't happen much in BD domestic cricket. just because a player has big shots doesn't mean they're suited to the shorter formats, got to be able to connect and connect properly and regularly to be a good shorter format player as well as be able to rotate the singles when boundaries aren't available.
