The assumption that bowling more than 15 overs per day will lead to injuries is just silly and underestimates the intelligence of the playing captain and the fast bowlers. At the end of the day the bowlers themselves should know when is the right time to take a break or stop bowling. It varies by bowler; maybe 15 overs for some, maybe 20 for others or even more. Furthermore nets are good for trying out the new weapons like you mention, but what's the point of practicing if they don't get to try them enough in a real game?

Spinning track are here to stay. Better the fast bowlers come up with new weapons. They need to take care of their bodies better as well. Nets are there to practice, use it. Learn how to set up a batsman. Slower ball. In cutter, then outswinger. Bouncers. Two is allowed now. Use them wisely.
Cricket adapts what is given to them. At this time it is a batsman's game. Bowlers must adjust accordingly.

This is the good sign of our spin department where a lot of players in the line and he who gets a chance is doing well. But in the pace department there is no proper competition. There isn't a lot of options. So pacers do not feel any competition to keep a place in the team and they perform poorly.

it's not really true that we have no fast bowlers, some did really well last season (al amin, abu jayed, kazi kamrul etc) and some have come in this season to do well (sajidul, alauddin). lots of fast bowlers that have performed quite well, just they aren't given chances.

not trying to argue but we have quite a few who have shown good results but not given the chances in A team or national team. going on results both kamrul's, sajidul, dollar, alauddin, al amin, abu jayed, taskin and possibly more deserve selection ahead of abul as a specialist fast bowler. that's 8 fast bowlers off the top of my head, that's not including rubel, shafiul and nazmul. there are quite are few out there showing good results at least on the domestic circuit.

@ Jadukor,
The point I was trying to make was that it is easy to groom Spinners in Bangladesh than fast bowlers

NCL suru hote na hotei sesh?
Last round of NCL is going to be started from tomorrow.
Highest scorer of the tourney so far is Md. Mithun Ali.
Among the top order so far, Kayes and Jahirul did well. . . . . http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Ev...y_Average.html

I was just checking stats of our top order in NCL. What I found that:
1. Jahirul has an average of >38 in FC for Rajshahi.
2.SN has an average of >38 in FC for Barishal.
3. Kayes has an average of >36 for Khulna
4. Junaid has an average of >34 in FC for Rajshahi.
All of them got adequet chances to show her performance in test level except Jahirul.
I do feel that he should get some more chances.

Walton National Cricket League 2012
Khulna, Dhaka vie for title
Sports reporter
The final round of the 14th National Cricket League begins today with both Khulna and Dhaka aiming to etch their name on the trophy by winning their respective matches. Khulna lead the table with 34 points followed by Dhaka who have 30 points. An outright win gives a team six points, thereby providing second-positioned Dhaka a chance to win the trophy.
Khulna has a tough ask as they meet reigning champions Rajshahi at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra. They have been the leaders for the majority of the league. Khulna rode on Abdur Razzak and Murad Khan, who have taken 43 and 21 wickets in the league respectively. Khulna's Mohammad Mithun, who has scored 522 runs in the competition so far, will want to continue his good run in the final game. If they take the first innings' lead and draw the game, the three points will leave Khulna champions regardless of what Dhaka do. . . . . . . . . http://www.thedailystar.net/newDesig...php?nid=260182

He is a batsman and bats at 4-5 for his primier league team. I was surprised to see him bat at 9

Why S.Sarkat batting at 6? is he trying to be a seam AR now?
And Ayub continues his form

Good to see Marshall continue his good form and Aftab in the runs!
Don't understand the tactics by Rangpur where they have 3 frontline pacemen that were barely used with the skipper Shuvo bowling the bulk of them..bad captaincy imo

Our bowlers are doing their job perfectly both pacer and spinners. But I am doubtful to our batsmen.

Wicket of Pollard is so important. He will be very dangerous if he can stay.
