Yeah the finishing was really POOR....but I think they got really complacent...nd shakib wanted everyone to have some good match practice...hence bowling shuvo his full 10

the match was won at 47/6

great win from bd... without contribution from tamim we surpassed 240...
junaid needs to check his lofted shots early in the innings if he wants cement his place ahead of nafees...
another great rescue effort from shakib with the bat... what a player this guy is for bangladesh....

but there are aspects of his captaincy that are outright modon-esque. not taking the batting powerplay is one, and i swear if he wins the toss and chooses to bat first against India...i'll scream.

he by far the best leader we've had, but i will crucify him on these 2 issues because everyone is allowed to have a bad bowling day, but opting for the powerplay or making the right coin toss decision is a simple matter of just opening ur mouth and saying it.

Shafi has improved his strike rate now to 28.8 (super wicket taker status)

Aiccha, wasn't this match supposed to start 4 years later than usual?? I woke up and found that 3/4th of the match was gone and I had been planning the match from long before.

Anyways, Tigers FTW.

i dont think shakib makes those decisions alone... he must have discussed those with the team before reaching a decision... i remember we did something similar during a Test also where we chose to bowl first in chittagong...

when u have finishers like naeem/mahudullah... then taking or not taking PP really doesnt make that much of a difference... its embarrassing to see that even the little guy mushfiq packs more power than those two...

I watched a bit of batting, If BD continues to bat this way, there is no hope in the WC, also watched a bitt of bowling, should have had them out for less than 100 runs, allowed to score over 150 runs,
Toothless, fielding could have been better.
I hope that they can improve. Naeem should be dropped, cannot wield the bat, wasted toomany balls in the PP, Ash would do better at NO 6 or 7,

Well done bangladesh. Well played Shakib, Mushfik, Razzak, Shafiul, good to see Mashrafee was bowling good too. I was on and off bed until 6AM and got really frustrated to see Tamim et al collapsed. In the end, Shakib, Mushfik's partnership did the job. Shakib needs to convert these 60s and 70s into 100. This guy is just too good to let his wicket go below 100.

Utseya scored 67? Was he too good or our bowlers bowled crap in the end?

I felt Naeem did his job. Apparently, because of the recent (lack of) performance in PP overs, the team decided to go the cautious route in the batting PP. We scored a lot more (44 to be exact) than we did in the PP overs than we normally do.

Yes. I was afraid of that too. But, in hindsight, BD probably would have defended any score above 180. Shakib would not have relaxed his grip like he did after the 6th wicket fell.

I was really impressed with Shakib today. He kept a very good SR without hitting boundaries. JS should make everyone watch Shakib's innings on how to bat in the ODI. A little dab here, a little push there, and hit the ball when offered.

AR has become a menace! অন্য দলের ব্যাটসম্যানরা তাকে দেখলেই প্যান্ট হলুদ করে ফেলছে আজকাল।

Although Shafiul got a few wickets, if Rubel is fit, I'll bring him in for Shafiul. Rubel needs to play. He could be our trump card in WC, when people will concentrate on the left-hand spinners.

squad analysis

1. junaed--still not consistent
2. shuvo---naeem is doing better than him
3.rubel and najmul should replace mash and shafiul in the last match
4. riad might replace shuvo in next match
5. kayes needs a 50 to maintain his status
6. a century is due from tamim
7, shakib, razzaq--best of the world atm
8. mash, shafi--yes they are almost there (got back form)
9.mushy--most improved all the way
10. rokib--maintain balance of the team
11. SN, jahurul--so unlucky to be left outside
