Someone should feign an injury and get Zia in.

Things going against us:
1. We have certified match losers like Razzak, Ryad and Farhad Reza
2. We do not have any firepower in the tail something that Zia could have brought against the minnows.
3. Nasir is hopelessly out of form but he thinks he is doing fine. Even after getting four chances against Afghan bowling and still getting out. Gazi is out of form as well
4. Mash is past his prime
5. Tamim is not suitable for T-20 but will get slotted in despite being out of action for awhile
6. Clueless captain
Positives
1. Shakib is back
2. Shabbir is there in the lower order
|
with Razzak we play to lose.

How stupid is the new Selection Committee? Seriously man, wtf? THIS IS OFF THE LIMITS. Faruq is so full of his ego and THICK headed. I mean c'mon admit your fault and own up man!!! Farhad Reza/ Zia??? And you have to make a choice Faruq? I feel like grabbing hold of his collar and giving him a good shake in midair, hopefully it will put the screws back in place which he has clearly lost.
Worse thing is, EVERYONE is losing the plot nowadays. I see despair and hopelessness leading up to this encounter which should have been something we could have passed.

Just borrowing some words from "A Song Of Ice And Fire":
"A strong castle with a weak garrison defending it is a WEAK castle, likewise, a weak castle with strong soldiers defending it is a STRONG castle. "

Where is tanvir_aus by the way ....
Anyway... It won't come to this but lets' say Nepal thrashes the Afghan and we become complacent and get a banana skin from HK as long as it is not a thrashing one (very very unlikely and silly, just like the objectives of this thread) - I think we could still qualify.

Its not question of whether we can qualify or not
Its whether our tigers want to play 4 more matches or enjoy biryani at home.

We are in a tough group but the aim should be to first reach the semis and take it from there.
