To me Sanjay Manjrekar. Don't know why but I'm a great admirer of his batting.

btw Banindfan I'm gonna move this thread to International Cricket forum.

I like Harsha Bhogle, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, and don't like Gavaskar.

Gavaskar is the worst. He is extremely petty.

Sanjay Manjrekar: better than the others by some margin. The most level headed and unbiased commentator from the subcontinent.

Harsha Bhogle: General commentary is rather good. he makes up for his lack of cricketing pedigree with stats. havent heard him talk about actual batting and bowling techniques.

Ramiz Raja: Most unimaginative commentators of all. Repeats his "favourite" words over and over again.

+1

I heard Boycott was furious about Ramiz being a part of the ESPN Star commentary team during the '99 WC. He said something like "Ramiz couldn't comment on cricket to save his life". I can't quite remember.

Sanjay Manjrekar. he has good cricket brain, talks from both point of view. Ravi shastri is good as well,

Rameez Raja is a joke. if a pakistani player get a egde for four, thats a great shot in his eyes.

Hmm may be i am with the wrong crowed here but i hate mangaker but mainly becuse his stand against BD. He had lot of on camera fight with ataher ali and as he couldn't beat him there he takes easy punch when ever he can even if its not a bd match. I remember saying him during a Pak-ind match that ather should come and see how batsman bat or something after shevag/mailk hit a four or something...

He is an idiot..... to me....

I think Shastri is alright.
About Manjrekar, I don't remember exactly. Didn't he comment something bad on Bangladesh Cricket? Or may be somebody else.

I like Ravi Shastri and Sanjay Mandrakar, the one I detest though is that Sri Lankan commentator, something Fernando.

My favourite commentator of all is Geoff Boycott, knowledgable and funny

Just wondering, was Harsha Bhogle ever a player. He is a rarity in that he is one the very few commentators who was not a very famous player.

sanjay manjrekar is one of the most biased commentator i've heard lately. you should've heard him in the latest pak-ind series.

ravi shashtri is one of the best though. Always enthusiastic and not taking any sides, no matter who's playing.

I also like ranjit fernando (Sri Lanka) and Asif iqbal, the pakistani player who used to commentate a lot in sharjah, not anymore though.

My favourite commentator of all time was the late Brian Johnston. Henry Blofeld is of a similar mould and is very good.
