these prac matches are just testing my patience :P im now more eager than ever for the India game cant wait till the tournament proper, nd the boys have done well in the two games, only thing worrying me is razzak. He is supposed to be our main spinner :\
But I am not saying anything against Raz, coz in T20 good balls can go for 4s as well. I hope he does well against Indians

"Teen Goenda" was not a rip off from Hardy Boys, but a shameless translation (until the number of books ran out) from "Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators." by Robert Arthur, Jr [1]

I was an avid fan of Rakib Hasan until one day I came across an old copy of Three Investigators in the Babu Pura Book Market in Nilkhet. I owe this find to the endless hours of scavenging through the old and second hand books displayed by the hawkers on the footpath as well as the shanty book stalls. I did love the characters Kishore, Musa and Robin who are just clones of Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Robert "Bob" Andrews.
Perhaps it would be appropriate for Sheba, as well as the writer to ackowledge where it is copied from.

Well remember, most of the Sheba books are written by a group of writers which were then properly edited by Quazi Anwar Hossain.
He never denied about copying/direct translating.
But I was always surprised by his ability to manage to do this subsequently week after week.
He was a great novelist and more of all a businessman who utilized it in a way which brought him crores of money from a generation of which only merely ~1/2% cared about really buying those and read them.
Paperback and quick publishing were the key.

It reminds me those days specially my high school and college days when I used read one after another specially Masud Rana. finish one then wait for the next one. The translators also made money.

7 runs per over in 20/20 is normal... Alhamdulillah i am perfectly happy with our boys performance,they receive enough criticism already, it is time they unleash their natural game and play with free hands, this is 20/20 you can afford to do that. a 20 ball 35 makes a huge impact/difference. remember these are the games where our boys should find form, but a win is a win.

Masud Rana, precededby Kuasha are 007 type thriller created by one of the greatest minds of bangladesh, the one and only Kazi Anwar Hossain. Much of MR series is based on populer thrillers like X-files, james bond, etc, but as a whole, Masud Rana can be likened to only Bangalee super-spy.

Teen Goyenda was also copied from Enid Blyton's "Secret seven" & "famous five" series.........

But if if the Dutch can score 142 in 16 overs against us then just imagine how many runs india will score with the type of batting line up they got.......

Razzak must find his form coz we can't depend entirely on our part timers like nayeem & MaRi.....and most importantly mash needs to finish his quota against these minor opponents so that he gains the momentum will b needed to send india back home.....

if bangladesh bats first agaisnst scotland i would exoect 180-200 again.

I didn't read Three Investigators but the few Hardy boys I read, I found al of them are already used by Tin Goenda.

Despite all these, Sheba will always have my gratitude for iuntroducing me to the world of thriller.

I think we should try a different opening combination, push this mithun to open with tamim and shamsur at 3 and lets see what they can do. Opening is crucial and zunaed is struggling.

If there is any other potential big hitters in the squad, expose them here and let them have a go. If they cant do it against scotland/nederland, we will know they wont do it against better teams.
