Thailand Cricket Camp with Ian Pont
Guys,
Please excuse me if this is not the right place to post, but I wanted to get the message out to as many of you as possible and ask you to pass on to those you know who might be interested.
I am running an MCI cricket camp in Thailand in April 2013 and it is an open camp for all good junior and senior players (batters and bowlers).
It is a terrific opportunity to get specialist coaching with me as well as develop your batting and fielding skills in nets, practices, T20 and 50 over matches.
All details here: http://www.maverickscricket.com/inte...cket-camp.html

Nice initiative. Though, the venue could be Dhaka to make it more profitable, no?

^ Have you even clicked the link and looked at the sights? Where in crowded Dhaka can you provide that? Better yet, who the heck would want to go to Dhaka?
I'd love to go to this if I had 2K to spend. May be I should save up within next 4-5 months? hmm

How does a cricket camp in Thailand has anything to do with Bangladesh Cricket?

^ It doesn't. Ian wants to get the word out to as many people as possible, and since most people visit Bangla Cricket section it's the best way to get everyone to see the message that's all. Mods can move it to a different location afterward.

Hypothetically, could do something like this at BKSP? Might not be as flash as that international school in Thailand but would have the basic facilities. May help cut costs too.

Ian is one of greatest coaches around. If I was a professional cricketer I would go there in a heartbeat! I am waiting for the day when someone would sponsor Ian Pont's academy someplace in BD, maybe in coxs bazaar or Chittagong if Dhaka is not a possibility...but it will be most profitable in Dhaka

All the best to Ian for this great initiative. Chiang Mai is a beautiful place with various tourist attractions and I am sure it will be a memorable trip for those who enroll.

My guess is someone in Thailand is sponsoring it. I hope we'll have one in BD soon. Anyone here can help Ian find a sponsor?

What happened to all the noise made by those BPL teams? They would build stadiums, cricket complex, academy and so on? Anyway SAHARA or GP should step forward and get this academy going in Dhaka. Our reserve bench is so thin specially in the pace dept. I really hoped Dhaka Gladiators would do such thing, but they are no where to be found!
Used to be we had great coaches at the age level from SL. In fact all the age level coaches were from SL. And we now have some local coaches who are definitely not delivering quality players through the pipeline. An academy like Ian's will do wonders!
Lets spread the words and hopefully a sponsor will come forward to bring this academy going where it should be: in BD.
My best wishes to Ian Pont! The most caring coaches I have ever seen for BD cricket.
