Default Raqibul Hasan --- ODI, TEST, BOTH or NONE ??? ???

i am very very much disappointed with raqibul hasan.

may be he has good techniue. but for me he is good for no form of wicket

in ODI he is two slow, we all know that. now when we have the likes of mushfiq, naeem and riyadh flourishing we can easily replace him with a much more attacking batsmen like aftab or play an extra bowler.

in tests he never plays longs innings. as he is labelled our test batsmen he should play more long innings and spend a lot of time but so far in tests he disappointed us. like samaraweera of sri lanka or laxsman of india. they play very long innings. and raibul though shows good technique and slow batting in ODI he does not have the temperament to play a real long innings in test cricket.

i think naeem and riyadh are more capable of playing long innings though inferior technique but much more strong mental capability and also is mushfiq. these 3 playes need to play up in the order and raqibul should be dropped

I say dump all the current players and make the U-19 team play ODIs and Tests....

How dare we underperform against the number 1 test team in the world?

we should find more grammatically fine batsman than record

rokibul---20/20------no way
i think he still can manage into ODI and test----i like his confidence.

In test, my expectation from Rock has always been 50 ball 17-20. Below are weak links in our batting:

Inrul, Rock, Ash, SN

This guy has been playing for so long and IMO he hasnt justified his place in the side apart from the sub 80-90 scores in ODI's and he hasnt done anything else to be in the team. All I hear from everyone is that he is good technique and all that but whats the point if you cant even score any runs. He needs to be out ASAP along with Ash

I even wrote during the first innings, that our 6,7,8 should come before 3,4,5. Clearly Mushfiq and Riyad is our best test batsmen and we should ensure that they face maximum deliveries. In first innings it was riyad and in 2nd innings mushfiq could make a century if not forced to play with tailenders.

But who cares... Siddons doesnt even have that much common sense to figure that out.

As I said in another thread earlier, one from Rock and Ash will be eventually axed to make place for Naeem in the middle order. But it's still not clear who it will be. IMO, for sake of fairness, both should be given another match to settle the matter.

For some reason I still think Rakib can do better, he looks very calm and solid though, that of Ishant's blow on his elbow done the psychic damage for him and he just lost the focus on the game. But to me we should consider him another go.

Although I am frustrated with Rokibul, I am not as frustrated as I am with Ashraful. Rock still deserves a few more go. He tries his best.

Well Roqibul has not had any real big scores since he's played international cricket..he hasn't hit any big score since the Zimbabwe game in Zimbabwe where he scored 78..in that game he showed how to really accumulate but now he hasn't been able to do that..he has good technique and showed yesterday when he batted that he really concentrates hard but the problem is, is that he doesn't know what to do when a bowler bowls a good delivery 2 him..it's not that he gets out by playing a rash shot like his teammates but gets out by playing a defensive shot..i feel like he's still really young though and remember that in the 2nd test against WI he really was the 1 who saved us in that test..he built a crucial partnership with Shakib to win the test..out of all the other batsmen he played the 2nd least amount of tests so 2 throw him out isn't really a good idea..let him play against india again and see whether he plays well..also SN and imrul looked a lot worse then roqibul so i think he's gonna be safe for now..

Is there anything wrong with that? Forming your team according to opposition and condition?
