Believing without seeing
Zeeshan Mahmud, USA
It happens to the best of us. It drives you nuts. You sip your morning coffee and bite the frozen pizza, turn on streams from questionable websites, and suddenly the computer gets overloaded with window after window as cellular multiplication renders the system useless. Yes, it happened to me. That too, in the much-awaited inaugural game of the 2011 World Cup between Bangladesh and India where I missed out my favorite player - Virender Sehwag - blowing the brains out of bowlers of my favorite team -Bangladesh - with his epic 175. But, that wasn't the first time. There were many other occasions where I was a step away from putting my neck on rail-tracks, just for a fix of my team in action.

Good read Zee bhai.
A bit off topic: I remember an incident from my childhood. My father would come home from work in the evening and find me watching cricket. He'd say in a firm voice "jao porte bosho". And I was like "please baba, Sachin bat korchhe!". My father would reply "tumi porikkhai fail korle tomake Sachin eshe pash korabe?"
On topic: I guess we'd all done some crazy stuff to watch our favourite team play, even more so in our teens. As for me, I got out 1 hour (and 20 marks of questions) early from a certain exam to watch the 2003 WC final, at the risk of getting killed if my parents found out. And that's just one among many.

I have skipped tutorial classes, hangouts, etc. etc. to watch my tigers play. Even during exams I watch BD matches

Isn't watching Bangladesh play classified as hanging out?

Unfortunately I don't think I have done anything crazy to follow BD cricket, but I know if I get an opportunity to do something crazy I will do it.

During World Cup 1999, me and 2 of my friends tried to convince our maths teacher that we can give our Olevels exam next year but we cannot miss World Cup as it happens once every 4 year.
Our teacher used to bring a stick (beth) in the class and hence you know what happened ....

You used the stick to play cricket?
