Journeyman, had a nice domestic career, gritty and patient, possibly could’ve done more on the international level if he had been given more rope or if he’d been picked back up when he was a bit older with more experience and in his prime (however he was justifiably dropped).

He definitely did his part in elevating BD cricket, it’s important not to forget players like Rajin who played at a time when BD cricket was just starting and trying to find its way at the test/ODI level.

Good observation.

He played during a period where we did not have much facilities and they did well with whatever little they had.

Consider modern day cricketers like Miraz, Mithun, Mosaddek, Litton have better facilities and flatter tracks yet have the same goddamn average as the likes of Saleh
