Default Predict when Mashrafe is going into retirement

Mashrafe has asked BCB for two more months before making any decisions on his future, predict when he will retire. 2020? 2022? 2023 World Cup?

Zim will comeback for an ODI series in March, most likely he will retire then.

According to PA report, Mash is getting teared up at retirement talk.

https://www.prothomalo.com/sports/ar...

This is what I call আজাইরা আবেগ. Few comments in the article exposed the reason behind this আবেগ:

Quote:

Shofi A Chy
Look at how gracefully Hashim Amla retired. He knew his time was up and he accepted the reality.

Look at how Dhoni retired from tests. When time was up, he exited immediately.

But look at our drama queen. Tearing up at the prospect of inevitable. PATHETIC. Even death row inmates walk to gallows more gracefully.

I am glad that BCB is taking a strong stance. BRAVO!

Very unfortunate - he should've retired at the wc. If money is a concern, then he should apply for the manager's job at BCB. Chacha has too many roles. I think Mash would make a great manager.

Being a manager means you will have to do some work, Mash is collecting paychecks for doing nothing. BCB nowadys is struggling even to get a hold of him.

For few more bucks, he is screwing up his good reputation that he had all these years.

is it worth it?

He is still a superstar and a MP. He could gracefully exit and could have make money in other legal ways anyway. If he wants to be attached in cricket, he could also do that.

I don't get it.....why he is hurting his own legacy.

^^ The ways our MPs make money are neither graceful nor legal. Think Mash never invested much in side business like how Shakib or even Ashraful has done, other than having a building in Mirpur where he lives and rents out few apartments. Now he's too busy with politics to find other avenues of income, to maintain the lavish lifestyle he got used to (I believe he supports his extended family as well).

He got himself in a "mainkar chipa" and needs to find a way out soon.

He is killing the golden goose. He need to figure it out how you use his fame and power in other ways to have a decent lifestyle... he is smart and he is articulate ....it's kind of unknown territory, but he can do it.... if Ashraful can also do it.

I hope Mashrafe would be a very good pace bowling coach. After retirement, he can join in A team / under 19 / HP / Academy, like Chaminda Vaas. Or he can think about position like Team Manager / selector or other position in BCB. “Casino Sujon” have tons of position in BCB. He can take some. It would not be very difficult for him. But I really, really like if he would go for a coaching carrier.

I can see Mash making a killing managing some BPL team in a year or two. He's prolly just biding his time getting the ducks in a row.

Why should Mash retire when Rahim won't retire? Or when SHujon won'r retire? Or when the selectors won't retire?

Better to expose a rotten team for what it is, then give the illusion of improving by making scapegoat of one old bowler.

As much as I respect Mash, an MP should not be playing cricket. I'm not convinced that someone has enough time doing either jobs at the same time.
