Mushfiq mentality isnt mature enough and I think that is his issue. He is still that kid who I saw back in 2007 WC. He should abdicate his gloves to someone else as he has clearly always had issues which has cost us matches.
Although that being said, the guy puts alot of effort into training and among the seniors he has always looked the fittest.
I doubt anything will change in regards to him being the wicket keeper for the short term though.
The worst one was his positioning for the run out chance at 1.3 overs. Standing in front of the stumps once again. If after 14 years of keeping at international level you don't know where to stand then there isn't much else to say. Shakib had to shout at him and tell him that he should've been behind the stumps.
And yet he continues to keep. Is it too far fetched to think that team mates get demoralized when they know that one hack will continue to hog a position forever?
Will Nepal have to beat us at home next to make us start planning for the future? Is Rahim blackmailing Papon that he won't run with the AL ticket from Bogra if he gets removed?
Just want to know the inside story.

The end of Rahim will mark a new great beginning for the complacency free Bangladesh!

Saw that
He does not even know the basics of keeping. I hate the fact that he is stubborn about keeping but my question is why doesn't the management asks him to give up the gloves?
He doesn't even deserve to be the in the team to begin with, leave alone keeping.

A few observations from the afg match:
1. He gave away at least 10 runs by letting the ball slip
2. He convinced Shakib to bowl Soumya the 17th over saying sonething along the line that the boundary is bigger on this side (stump mic)
3. Lack of basic wicket keeping knowledge by standing in front of stump
4. Acting like a captain and always giving advice to the bowlers (not always accurately)
5. A pathetic attempt to stand in front of stump and deflect the ball with glaves like Dhoni (he missed)

Yeah absolute rubbish, we should pick Nurul Hasan Sohan or Anamul in this format.

You know what scratch that... I AM taking sides. You dished out a question, and you got an answer. So what are you complaining about? Had I was walking with my head down (which brings me the question the origin of matha het...) then you would have taunted: "lojja kore na out hoyia matha uchu kore hatteso?"
You deserve what you get. You want our cricket to improve, but don't have the decency to treat a fellow human being right.
Just because you are our darling fan boy ain't gon mean you will have special treatment.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha..... just watched the video. Bangladesh cricket is like a perpetual soap opera. I agree with the gentleman Imran that "ja howar hoye gese". Why focus on this anyway? BD media are worse than CNN, WaPo and NBC/CBS/ABC combined..lol

He should be severely peanalized for this kind of behavior. Getting verbal abuse is part of his job - not everyone is gonna praise and sing his name.
I get yelled and cursed at by ppl almost everyday at work. It comes with the territory. And it's actually part of my duty to handle and diffuse the situation. As a player his job is to keep his head down and go to the dressing room.
classic example of stooping down to anothers level - u won't win.
