I stopped watching the match. Asked what he did, most said to not bother with it cause it will ruin my day. Now am really curious on what stupidity he did today behind the stumps

Are you sure you can handle it? NZ was 61/2 and Taylor and Williamson just started batting together. Williamson would've gotten run out as the fielder made a perfect throw and it was going to hit middle stump. See below what Mushy did after which they went on to add another 100 runs which won the match for the Kiwis.

11.2. Shakib Al Hasan to Taylor, 1 run, Have they got Williamson through a run-out? He's well short but it also looks like Mushfiqur knocked the bails off before the throw came in? He was miles short there, having responded slowly to Taylor's call after he pushed the ball to mid-on, probably did not expect the throw at his end, and should have been back in the hut but that's a terrible, terrible miss. Whats more, the throw was headed for the middle stump, had Mushfiqur not been so eager to collect it in front of the stumps

Even if Mushy had extraordinary skills he shouldn't be keeping. He's just too short to pull it off at the international level. A taller keeper with even 12"-18" longer wingspan will effortlessly catch balls that Mushy never will.

Mash is the captain and he is supposed to do that in front of the press. He cant throw a key player under the bus after the game.

Mushy should have the gloves removed.

And i will forgive him if he can take us to the semis with his batting.

That stat is up to 2016. If you add the stats from the last three years that will look even more atrocious.

I don't find any difference. If he removes the glove he will be worse than mustafiz in the field.(if not willingly..)

I heard through the grapevine that Liton might be replacing Mushy as the keeper for England match. Mithun will get the axe to make place for Liton in the lineup.

I say that is the best we can do right now.

Maybe they should train harder with their fielding. Mash maybe isn’t physically capable of the rigours of new age fielding given his issues, in which case maybe he shouldn’t be in the xi.

Sounds harsh but to be the best you need to have high standards and expectations, the most important thing is putting in 100% effort which also means preparing for a match/series at your maximum capability (this doesn’t just mean focusing on physical things).

Fielding is one of those things that if you put enough time into it, implement the proper technique and you give it your best then you can’t really be a bad fieldsman.
