He bowled with a round-arm action to avoid putting stress on his shoulder, which didn't work out.

However, Tamim defended Chacha for trying out something out of the box with Riyad

How do you expect to get rid of Sujon when our very influential players always defend him

So why was he trying to force himself to bowl so he could show he is putting an effort as he knows his batting sucks to play big innings? I don’t think Mullah has any more capacity tbh. He has reached his peak in 2015 wc that’s it, now, he might play few cameos here and there. He is not a long inning builder or maker. He just doesn’t have it in him.

What Sakib is saying makes so sense, that what some of us are also saying for long time.... it makes perfect sense....

You rotate players, and give opportunity to few new players. That will do the following:
- keep players healthy and more engaged when they play.
- increase the pool of qualified replaceable players with experience.

- eventually will create more competition
- No more excuse that we don't have substitute.
- Reduce the chance of keeping injured/off-form players in the team.

There is no excuse of keeping an already injured player in the team.

What Sakib is saying is not rocket science, but its so refreshing that its coming from the mouth of a senior player, where the rest of the senior players feel too insecure with that idea. They want to eliminate their competition at any cost... they feel insecure with that idea.

Sakib is in different class (from the rest)... not only from talent and production POV, but also they way he thinks about the game and the team.

Yea that further proves how ridiculous that rumor was by Cricbuzz.
Ok, from the sound of it, it looks like Shakib wanted Riyad "rested" due to injury and NOT "Dropped" due to his slow innings against England... two completely different things. As a senior and professional athlete, Shakib is well within his rights to ask an injured player to be rested but this whole bull crap Cricbuzz made about Shakib being angry at Riyad and then Riyad being reverse angry after the Aussie game is just adding spice to a non story.

Yes there is no concrete proof that "Shakib being angry at Riyad and then Riyad being reverse angry" so its speculative. But Shakib also failed to deny it when he had an opportunity to do that and there is no counter proof that it didn't happened.

So at this point there is no way to say.... its just "just adding spice to a non story".

Actually the story supports (indirectly) the discussion that the BD cricket fans are having right now... i.e. rotating players and not including injured players in the team....the story 100% true or not....is very relevent to current event that is happening.

100% true or not? At this point we cannot say one way or other without more collaborative info. Therefore we cannot just dump the news as garbage.

I also dont really agree with Shakib tbh. I dont see how we have to follow India's rotation policy when we play half of what they play. Maybe someone like him and Mushy can take a break as they both play a dual role in the side but aside from them, there isnt anyone that has a very hectic schedule. If you cant play 15-16 ODIs, 4-6 tests, and 3-5 T20s a year, then you shouldnt be playing international cricket. DPL, BPL these are all optional tournaments where the player CHOOSES to play them and our nats team players barely ever play NCL.

What should happen is that some players should be restricted within 1-2 formats. Specialization is the better way to go for BD players not rotation.

... whether we play half of India or even play quarter of india, there is no excuse adding injured player in the team or adding off form player in the most critical series. Plus this will eliminate the fake excuse of "we dont have any qualified players to replace X or Y" logic.

We can force national player to play local league . That will give multiple benefit as a ripple effect. Actually there will be no need to force them, they will do it by themselves when they will see competition in the national team.

So.... looks like Cricbuzz is not chapa bazz after all (as some claimed).

Pretty much by the reaction of BCB to the news, there are validating it.

Nannu said selectors will be more strict on fitness for AFG series. Looks like Riyad will be axed one way or the other.

Riad, Tamim, is definitely out for next series. Selectors are keeping a close eye on Afif Hossain, Saif Has an, Yasir Ali, Nasir Hossain, Qazi Onik and Yeasin Arafat.
