Sikandar Raza out of Zimbabwe T20 squad over disciplinary issues
Quote:
"It is important that we support our captain, whether it is [Hamilton] Masakadza or anyone else, by creating an environment in which we can be confident he will have the full support of all players, with everyone pulling in the same direction and able to trust each other. It is for those reasons that we have decided to leave Raza out," convener of selectors, Walter Chawaguta, said.

Masakadza hinted at a dressing room rift in a letter to Sports Minister Kirsty Coventry in July. The series will be Masakadza's last; aged 36, he will be retiring from international cricket at the end of the series.

Squad for Bangladesh tri-series: Hamilton Masakadza (capt), Regis Chakabva, Richmond Mutumbami, Sean Williams, Neville Madziva, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Tony Munyonga, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara, Christopher Mpofu, Craig Ervine, Brendan Taylor, Ainsley Ndlovu, Timycen Maruma, Ryan Burl

Hopefully a good experience for afif and yeasin, not really afif’s format though potential is there, yeasin hasn’t even played this format.

Bangladesh takes on the Afghanistan football team today for FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asia Cup 2023 joint qualifiers.

Maybe we can beat Afghanistan in football? Would be some consolidation.

Would've liked to have seen Yasir Ali instead of Mosaddek, but I think his poor form in the emerging series cost him.

Bd will lose both games against Afghanistan and will one against Zim. We may reach final but will lose again against Afg. If Bd manages to beat Afg, I would call it an "upset".

I don't think Saif is a T20 player. Based on the last BPL performance, Rony Talukdar should have got a chance.

LoL that's 3 times in a row.

But we beat them in Asia cup & World Cup, why can't we do it here, although those were in 50 overs format but shouldn't make so big diff

T20 is not our thing. We were whitewashed (0-3) by Afghan in last T20 series.

Now losing the practice game against Zimbabwe, I have serious doubt if we can even make it to the final.

We played 4 times against Afghanistan in T20. Afghanistan is leading 3-1.
Last 4 T20 games we played against Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe won 2 of them.

There is also a possibility we may lose all the games.

BCB XI didn't put up much of a challenge even though the team included Sabbir, Mushfiq, and Saifuddin. Only silver-line is Afif's three wickets haul.

Yasir Ali flopped once again. He's not doing well ever since he returned from Ireland.

I thought Zim was barred from playing and got their status revoked? When did they sort out their mess?

They're barred from ICC events, still can accept invite from other countries.
