PM now getting involved in arranging batting line up.

Quote:

We performed like a patient in life support against ZIM. Look at how AFG is bossing over them today - seven es in seven balls.

Quote:
17.3 Madziva to Najibullah Zadran, SIX runs, this is carnage! A slower one gone wrong, loopy delivery down the leg side, Najib helps it over fine leg. Another six. Seven now. This must be some kind of a record

17.2 Madziva to Najibullah Zadran, SIX runs, makes it six in six! Short, just outside off and pulled almost into the second tier this time, way over deep midwicket

17.1 Madziva to Najibullah Zadran, SIX runs, Madziva too disappears! Was a length ball and Najib just pulls it with utter disdain, over deep midwicket, that's fifth six in last five balls

16.6 Chatara to Mohammad Nabi, SIX runs, is that the fourth one? Yes!!! Another low full toss from Chatara, this time outside off and Nabi moves towards the off stump and lofts it over deep extra cover. Another big over for Afghanistan - 26 from that

16.5 Chatara to Mohammad Nabi, SIX runs, three in three for Nabi! A low full toss on the stumps, Nabi was just standing very still in his crease and sends it over deep midwicket. Moves to 26 off 11

16.4 Chatara to Mohammad Nabi, SIX runs, fuller, doesn't miss the yorker by much but Nabi clears the front leg and makes full use of the bottom hand it smash it for a straight six

16.3 Chatara to Mohammad Nabi, SIX runs, legcutter from Chatara but too short and Nabi just waits at the back foot before pulling it way over the deep midwicket boundary
Hon'ble PM should start hydrating herself now - we will definitely need more prayers from her to have any chance against AFG. Also our Ben Stokes Afif should open the batting.

খেলা শেষ হওয়ার আগে বললেন, ‘দোয়া করতে করতে তো আমার গলা শুকিয়ে যাচ্ছে!’

Why tryging to spin in a negative way? Hasina, Khakeda, Coco, Ershad arr/were all genuine cricket fan. You can hate them for other aspect, but these kind of high profile fans usually helped us in our cricket development in a big way. History is the proof.

Why Afif batted so late is a natural question any fan can have... I see nothing wrong in it. But to say that she is dictating the batting order is plain and false accusations.

As a cricket fan, I would rather have a PM (who ever he is) to be a cricket fan than not a cricket fan.

Yes, and totally neglected soccer. And now we have a nation that can play neither!

I know people are frustrated for genuine reasons. But issues with cricket and soccer are different in nature. While we are still playing cricket in the highest level for a while now, we were never able to pass the FIFA qualifying round yet, forget about winning any game in FIFA world cup. As a matter of fact whole Indian sub-continent have the same story about soccer so far in the soccer history.

Abu Hider Rony has been added to the Squad. I assume he's Fizz's injury backup?

The way things are going, Soumya is long overdue for a drop from T20I team. His T20I (17.19) and T20 (16.53) averages are pretty good indications that he's not cut for this format.

I would take a chance with Mohammad Naim for rest of the tournament.

The other obvious candidate for a chop is Riyad. I would bring in Mithun in his place, given MIthun is one of our best batsmen against spin.

I guessed wrong - Rony is Mishu's injury cover:
Quote:

I would have preferred to see Taskin.

^I have a mixed feeling, you may call it a conspiracy theory.

Most seniors are scared now after Afif revival, they do not want another new pacer to come and take the baton.

After all the Rashid hype the margin of difference is only 28 odd runs. Now, if we are better bowling side than Zim, AFG should score >=29 less. And if we are a better batting side than Zim we should be able to score >=29 more.

This would be my XI for last two matches:

Naim
Liton
Shakib
Mushfiq
Mithun
Mosaddek
Afif
Riyad/Sabbir
Saifuddin
Taskin/Rahi
Rony

Shakib needs to learn to trust his pacers. At the same time, he needs to let Fizz go if Fizz is not 100% fit by next match.

Taijul's selection as a specialist spinner has not added any benefit, I would take another pacer in his place. Shakib has plenty of other spin choices in Afif, Mosaddek, and Riyad.

Soumya is long overdue for a permanent drop from the T20I team (he could not even hold on to his place in his BPL team last season). My wildcard choice would be Naim, based on his recent List-A success (amount of runs scored as well as high SR), even though he does not have whole lot of experience in T20.

We can't afford two selfish players playing for their own survival only - one from Riyad and Sabbir has to go. I would bring in Mithun, given MIthun is one of our best batsmen against spin.

Squad for last two T20Is:

Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain, Liton Das, Afif Hossain, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mohammad Naim, Aminul Islam and Nazmul Hossain.

Selectors just playing musical chair in frantic nowadays, players being added and removed from the squad even without playing any match.

Our selectors are bunch of jokers. Why did they inlude Rony in the first place if they didnt want to give him a match? And then include a guy who suffer from malnutrition and Mr expensive Rubel. Including Shanto whose T20 approach is questionable. And yet ignore guys like Anamul, Rony Talukdar, Yasir. Not saying Anamul, Rony or Yasir would turn things around, but still would have been a wiser selection

Well, selectors got atleast one call right - Soumya is finally out.

Mahedi's inclusion was very questionable to begin with, with Afif, Mosaddek, and Riyad already in the team.

Naim, imo, is worth taking a chance on.

Shanto and Biplob's selections don't make any sense whatsoever, neither does Rubel or Shafiul.

Gotta feel bad for Rony. Apparently he didn't get to play even in a net session.

Why don't we open with JuSi? He was decent in last BPL. Oh well, he is an oldie.

Rony Talukdar had an avg of 24 with a SR of 140+ in last BPL. Nowhere near in contention....
