Default NHL: 2005-2006 Season Thread

Bar business will finally pick up. It's been slow around my bar lately, and tuition fees doubled. Relief at last!

Sure, ounce of vodka, bit of triple sec (orange liguour), and Lime Juice.

Any drink you want to know, just go here.

http://www.webtender.com/

Go under browse drink recipes,
Drink by "name"
Click under the drink, and you got it.
But, all bars vary, it's not a science. So always double check with bartender or waitress, especially if you are allergic to anything.

About time!

Finally will get to see some action this year. I am totally hockey-starved.

Let's see who supports which team here. I'm a die-hard nucks fan, and a proud owner of a Naslund replica

Let the bashing begin.

its still a few months away till the Game returns on ice, but I am pumped up for NHL as I ever was!

A DIE-HARD LEAFS FAN HERE! Anyone else ?

Mats, the way he dominates, wil contribute a long way to next June's Stanley Cup parade on Yonge Street!

BUT, 35 years and counting! Bring it on!

Love your Borg picture. We will all be borgs in a few hundred years. lol. halve computers halve human.
sorry off topic.

I used to watch hockey before school, but can't afford another addiction until school is finished so I made a HUGE sacrafice not to follow it till I'm done. I may have to follow suit with banglacricket. God, I get addicted to everything. Obsessive Cumpulsive Personality they call it. Nevertheless, it'll be great for business, and the patrons at my bar won't be picking my brain about non-sensical stuff, and be yelling and screaming and buying beers instead, helping me get through school. Secretly, I'm jelous that I can't participate. Don't tell anyone.

GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... the new ice age is finally here, starting on wednesday with all 30 teams in action!

With all their player-improvements and off-season moves, Ottawa and Philadelphia are being touted as the favourites to win the cup. Many arent even considering the Leafs to make it to the playoffs. Hah! The Leafs are made for playoffs...no worry there!

Here... I am writing this : The early-season favourites Sens, IF they meet Toronto in the playoffs, will once again fail to pass them! Its hoping that the Leafs end up winning it all in the end... and for many Sens fans, its all about beating the Leafs in the playoffs, and that's more significant to them than winning the Lord Stanley's Cup!

We'll see about it in the spring....

Mike Modano and his company may barely qualify for the 1st rounder in the playoff...Dallas team is not as productive as it was before...

Hey Leafs fans, how did you like the 8-0 drubbing at the hands of Senators? Heatley rocks or what?

What's about Todd Bertuzzi, the sucker puncher's replica...are you planning to have that one as well?

Before you start to sound like an Ave, I do not condone what Todd did. As a matter of fact a vast majority of the fans don't and that is reflected in the official forum.

As for the team, well - we are the #2 in the league now. Only the Red Wings have beaten us so far, and guess who won when we played Detroit? But that could well end. Dan Cloutier has been injured last week at the Pepsi Center. Matt Cooke got hit by a puck on the face earlier today. They are both doubtful. Cooke is actually out indefinitely. I do not trust Alex Auld much as a netminder. So it will be very tough work from here on. Most of all, I do miss Brian Burke as the GM. It's a pity he had to go with so much pressure from the top.

As for your question, yep I do indeed own a #44 replica. I got it last week.

ouch...that hurt...lol

i went bowling that day. every time i came back after my turn, we'd be down by a goal. in the end, the team turned out to be a laughing stock. we were actually betting on how long it'd take us to give away the next one.

Vancouver earned 2 hard fought points last night with their nailbiting 2-1 win over Minnesota. They seriously need to stop giving away stupid penalties, especially Kesler the new kid. They face Columbus tomorrow before back-2-back clashes in Alberta next week.

Senators showed why they are the hottest team in the league now with a 4-2 win over current champions Lightnings.

Edmonton is quietly picking up the tempo here with a road victory over top team of the NHL Detroit. Only consolation for the Wings is that this was an OT loss. So they have managed to salvage a point.

Gretzky's Phoenix shut LA out 4-0, Philly thrashed Washington 8-1, and Aves beat Anaheim in a tight 4-3 finish.

Toronto's misery continues, it seems. Eric Staal, once again, stole the show as Carolina beat the demoralized leafs 4-3 in another exciting game tonight.
