Riyad justified his promotion to #4, I think this is the perfect spot for him. Now we can experiment with other players lower down the order.

Yeap the months long discussion of batting #4 position finally came to reality today...Though Mushy was tried there but he was not able to utilize it properly due to inconsistency..Riad got the chance and utilized it fully...great job...

now gradually we have to find number 5, 6 consistent batting performers and obviously a good allrounder for number 7 position.

when alok was batting he didn't look nervous, he didn't seem like he was trying his best. I thought that he would be very nervous as this is his first international match after 2 years, but he wasn't. And then when he got out he didn't even seem bothered. Maybe its my imagination.

Anyway i was surprised that mahmudullah bowled 10 overs and razzak who got three wickets bowled nine overs.

what i've seen from this series is that most of out batsmen play better against spin rather than pace

It is the selectors who needs to stop selecting him.

good batting performance. mahmudullah is the right one for number 4, today's match showed that. he played an intelligent innings.

It is good to let Shakib off captaincy, it will relieve some pressure. He will be offered captaincy again in a few years when he will be more than ready, Bangladesh will voyage into a new horizon then

Sidsational knock by Imrul. Solid hands by the minnow basher and Mullah.

Riyad was long over due for a promotion. It's pity that he had been held back by Siddons for so long!

I liked the top 4 today. they should be locked for next series

1. Tamim
2. Imrul
3. SN
4. Mahmudullah

I am not sure of Alok, but he along with Hom should be in the final 14 of next series only because they were selected but not given enough chanc before dropping them.

Shakib should play at #6.

We need #5 , #7

Hopefully we will get the player from Alok/Hom/(need few more options) and Jahirul/Dhiman/Rahim

#8/#9 should belong to Farhad/Mashrafee (when he recovers comepletely)/ Shafiul

#10 now belongs to a specialized spinner. Need to find a substitute of Razzak: Razzak/Razzak's substitute should compete.

#11 belongs to specialized bowler: Nazmul/Rubel/ need one more option

For the next series I'd drop Rokibul and bring in Jahirul and Nazmul. Since it's an away series I think we'll be carrying 15 players in the squad.

My XI:
Tamim
Imrul
SN
Mushfiq/Shakib
Riyad
Shakib/Mushfiq
Alok
Mashrafe
Shafiul
Razzak
Nazmul

Jahirul, Shuvagoto, Shuvo, Rubel

Reserves:
Dhiman Ghosh
Nasir Hossain
Farhad Reza
Shahadat Hossain

If we get an unassailable lead in the series as we should I'd rest SN, Alok, Razzak and Shafiul for Jahirul, Shuvagoto, Shuvo and Rubel to see what they can offer.

Differences in pitch conditions aside (I don't know what the pitch for the third ODI was like - didn't watch), why couldn't they take a similar approach in the previous two ODIs? Why do we only ever cross 250 when the opponent has scored 350?
