Tamim's South Africa tour ends.
Extract:
Quote:
Tamim’s pain seemed to be increased after the second ODI. He was taken for an ultrasona report in East London. The report couldn’t show any good news for Tamim and Bangladesh.
Tamim will miss the final ODI on Sunday and the two T20Is. Not only that, he will also be unavailable for first three Bangladesh Premier League 2017 matches for Comilla Victorians. He is likely to make his next outing against Chittagong Vikings on November 14 in Mirpur.

Akram Khan was ready to send a replacement for him before the Test series, but Tamim insisted he would play. He made the situation worse for both himself and the team, as he did not contribute much either in the Test or the ODI he played, and now having to leave the team without any viable replacement. Had he taken the break from the Test series, there was a good chance he would recover by the start of the ODI series, where he could have helped us to be competitive. I sincerely hope both him and the team management learned their lesson.

Better to leave these sort of decisions to medical professionals.

it was a stupid decision to have him play... I can't believe the physio cleared him for the second ODI. Amateur.

True. In his mind, he's prolly imagining himself as some sort of hero who played for his country despite being unfit to play...
