Is it really that the case Sohel bhai?
There is many ways it is done in Bangladesh...some are as follows:
> Threatening the minority not to go to vote
> Ususing the mastan to vote for specific candidate
> Ususing village leaders to vote for party candidate etc.

You are old KP. So your thinking is old. Nowadays there is more simplier way of doing things. No one would can even challenge it. Program the software and auto vote. If still short then change vote. More than 40% don't vote. That is where the auto vote comes. These folks wouldn't even know they voted.
No need to distribute shari lungi among the commoners.

Who do you really vote for regardless of whatever party you affiliate yourself with when there is major corruption and disease of the heart in every single party Nobody truly stands for the welfare of the country, welfare of the community and the welfare of the individual?
What can we do to promote sanity and peace in the country?

I want a new party to rise from the ashes led by someone like Dr Younus. Or else military should rule for some time until some semblance of normalcy is restored.
Have seen enough already to be convinced that
BAL (yes pun intended) = BNP = JI/HEI, and they're all driven by lust for illicit power, bigotry and hatred for each other, despite what their naive followers would like to believe, and it'll be more or less the same no matter who comes to power.

1 ta shari, 1 ta lungi, 100 taka - that's enough to get votes from an entire household on "Chaand Raat" - the night before elections, whether it's a parliament election, a city corporation election or a upazila election. Whichever candidate spends the most on chaand raat usually wins elections in Bangladesh. If you have ever worked for a candidate or ever had a family member who is a candidate, you would know this.
So, that 90% stat is misleading. Taka diye vote kena ar jonogon er shotosfurtho vote prodan ek jinish na.

I just pray the winner in the next election doesn't get two third majority. They always use that power to stay in the power forever (talk about delusional) and inevitably chaos ensues. Personally, I think BNP should win the next election comfortably the way the govt has messed up.

If BNP comes to power, say good bye to Bd forever.
Better AL stays in power.
But the best would be another army backed caretaker govt.
