Default Google updated satellite image of Bangladesh

Until now Google did not have high resolution satellite image of bangladesh. Now, you can see very detailed satellite image of Dhaka, Chittagong and other big cities using Google earth/Google map. The streets are not labelled so you have to use major landmarks like Dhaka stadium to navigate your way around. If you are using Google Earth, then another option is to use layers and "check" on Google Earth Community (warning for this option: You might come across a lot of useless landmarks).

I just looked up my home in Dhaka!!! Have fun looking at your home.

Before I got annoyed that it didnt have a proper image of Bangladesh but had very nice detailed image of North Korean cities.

As if North Koreans get to watch see it. I doubt those people have internet connections at home.

This is great, however those of us who are on BD dial up do not have the privillage to use this due to lack in pace

So can you please attach some more images?
From the monumental area's of Dhaka-Motijhil,Gulistan,Farmgate,The Sangsad Vaban,The Jatiya Smrity Soudha at Savar etc.
Also the potenga sea beach and tiger pass from chittagong.

And i'd specially love to get a pic of my school-Dhaka Residential Model College. Its at the north-west side of the Sangsad, opposite to former gono-vaban,at the west side of mirpur road.

Many Many thanks.

Nasif vai, what was the direction in your pic?I believe Dhaka is to the left hand side,is it?

no its not my desher bari. My desher bari is nearby to joydevpur but not joydevpur. Anyway, reason I posted this is, I used to go on the left of this pic (to Mirzapur, Tangail) to Mirzapur Cadet College. I have waited on this চৌরাস্তা many times

Dhaka is to the south of the চৌরাস্তা, so it will be to the road going downward in the image. Upward road goes to Mymensingh(and also to Rajendrapur Cantontment, and Kapasia). Left one goes to Tangail. Right one goes to Joydevpur town.
I will try to post other land marks later.

Maybe you got the other side of the coin, but for me,I spent the best four years of my life there, from class 9 to 12.And from the batch that followed us,Saint Joseph's result got nowhere near us although Joseph's Batch alongside us was one of the best.

And you'd hate to hear this, but i've been and seen numerous occations where Joseph School or College rigged General Knowledge contests hosted by them,I've been to NDC,VNC,Holy Cross and other colleges and i must admit that Saint Joseph was the worst of hosts.

Not that I hold any personal grudge against Joseph, some of my best friends are from it

i m just sayin my personal experience. but saint joseph's results are pretty good. one of the best in dhaka. not sure about the contest thing cause never was interested in them but i personally like saint joseph more cause the learning environment there is more friendly. one more thing, wats with the white pants. god i had to wash them every day. they seriously should change it to some other color. if its for uniqueness , hey there is always pink.
