After a long time he played like an inspired captain. His batting was fun to watch, from beginning to end... It helped tamim not to feel pressurized and stick with hid plan.
It was a pleasure watch them two play with so much confidence.
He will remain a legend for our cricket for this series win.
West Indies never lost in Lauderhil before Aug 4 match.
BD won their first match ever in USA.
BD won their first T20I away series ever.
BD won their first T20I series ever in the USA.
BD first time won 2 consecutive away T20Is.(against a top ranked, wc winner team)
BD scored more runs ever against a WC winner team in consecutive games.
BD bowlers took max wickets ever in a T20I series - pacers set new record too.
Batsmen made a number of individual records - number of sixes hit, scoring 50's, back to back 50's, 50+wickets, man of the match and man of the series awards.
I am putting all this without looking at stats. Statisticians are welcome to dig more.

From odi this team looks like a determined team with purpose and mission. Now in ODI, lead the team, and he is true leader.
But I was not expecting the team will continue the same way (as odi) when Mashrafee is gone. It surtprisedd me. Just wondering, does it has anything to do with the new coach? Is it possible, slowly (after observing in test) he is taking control of the team (in a good sense of course) and giving good advices to the team?
May be it's a wishfull thinking, but I hope I am right.

Only worry is it seems to be his body is wearing down, perhaps time has come him to turn into a batting all rounder rather than leading on both fronts
But before ZIM we have Asia Cup.
We won't even need Shakib for WI Tests at home. We beat them in 2012 when Tamim was missing. But for Asia Cup we need Shak for his batting (his bowling can be replaced with some other spinner).

Lol calm down. He's been consistently mediocre as captain for a while now, so one good series doesn't mean his captaincy is any better. The seniors have been in stellar form, including himself, which had greatly helped his cause.

His scheduled to have surgery during zim series
We can beat West indies without Shakib, but we need him to return the favour of this shambolic tour

To be fair, I did like his bowling changes in the last T20 games. I also liked his field placements and also the fact that Rubel has finished off before the 18th/17th over.

I liked Shakib's captaincy much better in the last two T20Is. Seemed like he had a plan and executed very well. If he can keep that up consistently, we can win T20s more often.

The fastest to complete the double of 3000 runs and 200 wickets, having completed the feat in his 54th Test, one fewer than Ian Botham, the previous quickest

**if he scores 263 more runs in test he will become the 2nd player in history after jack kallis to have 4000 runs and 200 wickets in Test and ODI.
**If he takes 20 more T20I wickets he'll become the first player to have 1000 runs and 100 wickets in all formats of the game\
**if he takes 6 wickets in next 65 ODI games he will be the fastest to score 5000 runs and 250 wickets in ODI. Current fastest is abdur razzak who achieved it in 258 matches. If shakib can get 6 wickets in 7 matches he would have achived the AR double of 5000 runs and 250 Wickets in Less than 200 matches. Thats outstanding given nobody have even achieved this feat in 250 matches

Those will be some fantastic records. He better stay away from that M.P. bull crap.

Nice joke. Jadeja averages 40 with the ball outside of Asia while Shakib averages 27 (lower than his total average). Jadeja averages 19 at India while almost 37 outside of it compared to Shakib's 31.5 in Bangladesh and 31.2 outside of it.
With the bat Shakib is miles ahead of him and it isn't even a question.
He's back to his old form as a bowler in no time. Batting is still a worry though. Hope his little finger healed sufficiently and batting grip is not an issue anymore.
