The batsman must have had his heart in his mouth.

Bangladesh have not lost a bilateral series since two thousand eleven.

"Mo' fullah" (more fuller); "line and lenth" (line and length); "liddol bit too much" (little bit too much); "Shilangkah" (Sri Lanka). No, it's not about that ridiculously contrived Indo-Pak accent only his kind of ramkhyat can consider "kewl", but incorrect English. Someone should make a transcript of Ata's commentary so that we may marvel at how one can get an MBA from IBA AND become an English language commentator without speaking grammatically correct English.
Overstating the obvious and mimicking cliches just add to the "absalyudelee biyudee" (absolutely beauty) of his presence. Shamim speaks better English whilst doing the same, but whatever little knowledge he has of the game fades as he gets drunk in the booth. But to his credit, he does recognize our players nowadays. The world laughs at us.

In the series against SL:
Shamim: (when camera focusing on board members etc) He is...And he is...
(Then the camera focuses on two women wearing hijab in the gallery) ...don't know those two.
British Commie: Your wife must be relieved.

Atta has learnt a new english vocabulary.
"Knowing that"... the batsman is set.
"Knowing that"... they need 8 runs an ower.
"Knowing that"... he has to score big once he gets in

"That's what Bangladesh needed. They needed a wicket. Look at the crowd go wild. That is a big one."
From time to time, I feel bad for him. Supporting a bunch of cats.

A beautiful and detailed description of BPL 2016's 66th six, struck by Sabbir Rahman on his way to his maiden T20 century:
SHAMIM: He's got his dancing shoes on! Look at him shimmying down the wicket and get to the pitch of that ball and get underneath that one. Did he get underneath? Look at the elevation on that one...way up in the air, and with that elevation he needed the distance, which he definitely got! He's a very, very, dangerous character on song. Bowlers...watch out!!!

Shamim: Its the first match for the debutant. He must have butterflies in his stomach. Here comes the bowler, bowls outside off stump, the Batsman comes forward and punches it down towards long off region. No butterflies there for the youngster on this occasion.
