No, I wouldn't think so.

The team is owned by KKR of India.

^^ More likely, Shakib recommended him to team owner, Shahrukh Khan.

In the runs, scored 52 off 70 balls...No doubt he is more of a batting allrounder than a bowling one. He is only getting better.

All the best young tiger

I don't agree, he looks more like a bowling all rounder

Let's not forget few on here were claiming he can't bat and would never be a good Batsman

Would be excellent if he can become a 30/30 player in tests, but i would take a 25 bat/27 bowl average any day

He seems a bowling all-rounder to me as well.

A batting all-rounder who does spin bowling tends to bowl defensively. Miraz never seemed a defensive bowler to me. Moreover, he is being used as a wicket taker. No matter what classification he falls within, he is 19 and very energetic on ground. He also seems to work on his mistakes constantly. A definite plus point for BAN.

Good luck kid with CPL!

Well done Miraz. Getting a CPL team. Even Fizz hasn't played it yet And our supposed T20 specialist Sabbir Rahman.

I think he has ability to be a genuine allrounder but the team needs him more as a bowling allrounder.

He was spinning the ball other way today. Was it an away swinger like Shakib? Using the angle? Or genuine finger spin?

Drift and arm ball combined at time

Is he doing enough to keep his spot in the team? Wickets have dried up too.

BD won't play both Mehedi and Nayeem. Nayeem is the better bowler of the two. And while on paper Mehedi is supposed to be an all rounder, he is no better than a tail ender.

So is it worth giving Nayeem a run in ODI's and T20's to see how he does, and give Mehedi a bit of a time off to work on his game?

I really like this kid and still kinda do. What bothers me that at U-19 level he was a dominant player, and someone who took the world by storm. Nowadays, He can't even hold a bat properly....why??? His bowling is nothing exceptional except on turning wickets and we have loads of off-spinners to cover him. I feel that his days with the national team are diminishing. Sadly, I had great expectations from this kid. highly energetic, gives his best but the results are not showing for it.

He needs to improve massively with the bat, first of all.

Miraz's stock is further going down with Afif coming up fast. He definitely needs time off to re-invent himself.

He thinks he is doing good. Thats the mindset of all BD players. He is such an overrated player

Not everyone can take time off. Have to be rotated.

Anyway, the real reason everyone is doing bad is obviously because of the rotten culture when culprits like Rahim go scott free year after year. If you took the cancer out, people would start to feel better and train harder.

Everyone is taking time off and returning, like Shakib, Riyad, and now Tamim (Mashrafe had the humility to retire from t20 and tests at least), but that one cancer Rahim keeps playing every game of all formats, and ensuring the culture stays rotten.

Remove the root of the problem, and see a different Bd prosper.

As expected, Miraz has been dropped from the T20I team in favor of Afif - https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_...el-hossain-out

Well I guess being dropped has helped. He has been a top performer in the SL tour.

But I really hope he bats higher up the order in NCL and domestic cricket. Really needs to improve his batting. His future in the team has to be as an all rounder not a bowler. He harms Nayeem's chances otherwise.

Miraz came with a bang .... but after that...... progressed little. His bowling is going nowhere, doen't look like he is learning anything. His batting was missing from the begining, picked up a bit.... not not enough. the stop watch already started ticking, if he doesn't show any sign of improvement, it may be shelved for a longer period. to bad

He is still very young, but still he need to show some sign of improvement from his experience....not the other way around.

Too bad he is very likable person and still very young with some skillet. He should start taking advantage of these opportunities and establish his position.
