Has an excellent action and follow through. Well built. I saw him bowl 6 balls against Holland in the T20 WC. Impressive strives. Got tonked but two 4s went on through 1st slip. That was Mash problem.

Hopefully he will shoulder the fast bowling duties and take Bangladesh to new height.

I have a question does he have son name Hider? Or will he name his son Hider if and when he is born in the future?

S Ravi called, said the boy chucks...

Seriously, though, if he can swing the ball as people are saying he is going to be a great find for us.

That was against India. But yeah, he bowled really well in that over and was the last bowler to really trouble the batsmen that day. Unfortunately and uncharacteristically, Mash didn't back him with aggressive field placement. I'm excited by what I saw and I hope he gets another chance this tournament.

Thats because we had legendary pacers like Saifuddin, Jayed, Abul, and company.

Same thing is happening in the Test side with Ebadat.

Haider also proved his worth with the bat.

Ebadat is extremely green

At home it should be Mustafizur, Roy, away add Al Amin

His seam positioning is very impressive. Could he be the new ball bowler in the ODIs alongside Mashrafe?

He was good yesterday, unlucky not to get wicket

I liked his bolwing when I first saw him few years back, he didn't disappointed me yesterday.

He is not the most talented bowler, but looks like he uses his brain a bit and has a strategy and is consistent...unlike our superstar FBs.

I like two thing about Rony. He had amazing energy which none of the newbies have. His ground fielding was quite good as well for a fast bowler.

I agree with this. He is not the most flashy and threatening like Fizz or Rubel but it seems like he knows his what his strengths are and bowls according to that. Bowled really well last night imo.

And he can also field and bat better than our other tailenders. Might be good addition to the ODI side after Mash retires next year.

Abu Hider gets demerit point for foul language
Bangladesh fast bowler Abu Hider has picked up one demerit point and been fined 20% of his match fee for "using inappropriate language" during the second T20I against West Indies. Hider was in breach of Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct, and accepted the sanction, meaning there was no need for any formal hearing

According to an ICC release: "The incident happened in the 14th over of the Windies' run-chase, when Abu Hider ignored an earlier warning by the on-field umpires by again using inappropriate language after Rovman Powell had hit him for a six."

I have been backing Rony for sometime now. Please give him an extended run in the ODIs. He is good, and is always unlucky to not to get the wickets. Which only means, that the floodgates will open soon, when he will continue to be economical and bag the wickets.

I know there is no point discussing it right now. But could he have been the opening bowler for us in this world cup.

He has the best seam positioning among any other bowlers I have seen in Bangladesh. He can shape the ball into the right handed batsman with an upright seam. He can bowl the yorkers too and use the back of the hand and off cutters. He could have been handy in English condition, maybe in place of Abu Jayed.

Check out the No.4 and No.3 deliveries to Mahmudullah and Sangakara respectively. Simply Amazing.

Mash will be going very soon and his position as a bowler is up for grabs. Looking at Mahmadullah and his fitness he might not also be able to continue very long compared with the other seniors

Until recently Mash played a very important role as a leader. Under his inspiring leadership we went from a minnow team to a top 7 team. But he has served his purpose and needs to move on ASAP. In an ideal world he could still add a lot of value if he stuck around as an assistant coach and continued to work his magic without being a liability on the field

Have been impressed with Abu Haider Rony. Need to replace rubel or jayed with rony.
